Do we expect a big change or minor update for MLB15?

We didn't really see any big changes on the first ps4 game. Do you guys think we are gonna get anything big like a new game mode or feature? Or do you think it's just going to have a bunch of small things and a roster update? The game is awesome don't get me wrong, but I want that next gen feature that changes the game. Take Diamond Dynasty and turn it into an expansion/creat a team mode were you can take a new franchise into a powerhouse. I hope they have something in the works not just a roster update/small things added.

If history is any indication, I am certain that with each iteration of the Show on the PS4, it will get better and more robust throughout the years. The Show is one of those games that I never hesitate to buy on a yearly basis.

Re: Do we expect a big change or minor update for MLB15?

How do you improve on perfection? I thought quick counts were a great feature introduced, though I never use it.

But I'll throw by hat in the ring for a quick wishlist:

Major: Fully Customizable Leagues - Go with 4 or 6 divisions, interleague play optional, custom playoff format, ability to have 26, 28, or 30 teams. I think that would blow the roof off this place.

Minor: Fix base running. Sometimes running can be awful. Runners don't think about tagging up sometimes, specially with deep fly balls to right center and a runner on second. And sometimes they think shallow fly balls are the perfect time to tag up and score. I feel like steals are a dice play. Double steals in tied games? Why not! Thanks CPU. And fix pickoffs. Or make it seperate from baserunning. Pickoffs are too frequent.

Also, I would like the CPU to display more situation awareness. I don't feel like they pitch around certain batters like they should. They step up their game in tight spots, but they don't miss on location.

All this might be because I play on HOF. And on certain levels for each sports game, ever since the dawn of man, there's an element of "shot clock" "psychic DB" "NBA JAM full court buzzer beater" supreme cheese.

Re: Do we expect a big change or minor update for MLB15?

Some area's of the game I fully expect to see upgraded on the PS4 starting with MLB 15

        1. Presentation - I think it is already great, but I expect a refresh on the play by play and booth interaction as well as even more dynamic commentary on your franchise. I also expect more presentation within franchise mode with some MLB Network like integration to make your franchise feel more living and breathing.

        2. Playable Single A teams - it's gotta happen this gen...right?

        3. Further enhancement on quick counts - I think this feature is amazing. I play exclusively with this now....incredibly I think it makes for a better overall game experience. I am able to play and immerse myself in less than 45 minutes on average compared to 1-1.5 hours playing full games. It took me some time to adjust and adapt....but once I did I never looked back. So I see them expanding and adding different options to what is already in place. So we can use traditional quick counts like on 14, and maybe have options to start every count 1-1, 1-0, 2-1, 2-2 like on the old ASB games.

        4. Classic Stadiums back - I know they must be coming back...right?

        5. Visual enhancements and smoother and quick animations - I know the team reads and listens to all the feedback about lazy outfielder reactions, cheetah catchers, lazy pitchers, lazy middle infielders taking to long to get balls out etc. I can see them upgrading and cleaning up this area big time as we move forward on the PS4.

This game is amazing already.....but this team will continue to evolve the series to be even more life like and feature rich. Add to that the carry over save feature and it's a no brainer every year purchase.

I don't expect any changes at all. In fact, I called some special sources and they tell me that this is the confirmed logo for next year.

Until SDS is ready to uncouple the PS4 Show from the Vita & PS3 Shows I don't expect any big changes. But that won't stop me from crossing my fingers & hoping.

All I expect, and thus far haven't been let down, is for the game to improve over the previous year's game. If they do that, then I'll be satisfied.

I'm sure over time, we'll get the "ps4 look." It might take a couple years, but we'll see the difference between last gen grow. As much as I'd love a new pbp man, I don't know when that'll happen, but we do need a vast improvement in the commentary presentation at the very least. It'll be a fun winter!
1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!

For the umpteenth time, that is not going to happen. No cost benefit for SCEA to do so.

Would please tell me what the benefit to this is? Most people who aren't total introverts like me or social outcasts can hardly get through an entire franchise year in a year and you want to throw 100+ more games at them to do?

Also, why would you want to play with players that lowly rated?

What's the ratings got do with anything? They'd be competing against other low rated players. It's not like a 30 Contact hitter is going against Chapman or Kershaw. I mean, it's not like AA players are "high" rated compared to MLB players.

Also who says you have to play ALL of the games. We have playable AA and AAA but don't have to play all (or any) of the games.

I have Tyler Kolek in A - maybe I just want to play his starts? Maybe just a few of them to see if his performance is matching is improving progression.

As it is, I had to play Kolek in AA, where he might be overmatched (fortunately, he wasn't), just to "scout" him. Likewise, if I wanted to see how a potential trade target plays before I put together a trade to get him, I could only do so if he's in AA.

It might also expand RTTS to include A-ball. I think part of why we might start in AA is that's the lowest playable level.

I don't know - I'm always leery of sports games and rarely buy them every year.

I'm not expecting anything big - usually don't get it in a single year.

Carryover saves were an exception and prompted me to get it this year after buying 13 last year, but it would have to be something significant that I'd probably use. If it was just Quick Counts - I probably wouldn't have 14 now. It's good for those who have fallen in love with it and I'm happy for them; it just wouldn't be a draw for me.

I'm going into every sports-game-year like I always do. Expecting more tweaks than major new things and waiting 2 or 3 years for those to mount up into something more significant overall.

One quick and easy upgrade would make me very happy. Remove the freakin belt loops from the pants and the buttons from the shirts of the 70s & 80s era throwback uniforms. If your gonna have the things, do it the right way.

It would be nice to have it since we did on MVP 2005...and be able to play some single A games with some of those 18 year old prospects we draft to see them in action before they get to The Show.

Social introverts and social outcasts? What is that man. Taking a pot shot at people who go deep into their baseball gaming experience? I don't play most of the minor league games....hardly any of them....but it is nice to play some once in a while....and some people love doing entire franchises with either a AA or AAA team.....so why not let them play a single A team as well? Your post screams ignorance and is a little insulting to be frank. Wow man.

I get through an entire season using quick counts now.....it does take me about 6 months or so...but with carry over saves....I don't care how long it takes anymore. There is no time clock and having to stop a franchise now because the new copy comes out....just carry it over and continue.

                              It's a beautiful thing.
