I think all the guys that focus on stats and the little details aren't really seeing the big picture. You need to sell a game and saying "Now with improved trades in Franchise mode!!!" is not going to sell more copies.

The game needs a HUGE injection of excitement, something I've tried to push for years. The presentation is awesome - don't get me wrong. But when I watch the playoffs on TV, there's always that build-up... that tension. And this is accomplished by the reactions to big plays, through the announcing, the focus on the crowd, the noises, the emotion of the players....

Baseball is not the muted, dull game some would have you believe. It's a slow burn but damn it, you FEEL it when it happens.

I want those types of moments in The Show, not just from me screaming and jumping off my chair. I want the game to get excited for me.

Sell the game on the excitement of baseball.

Yes, I agree with that. I would add players showing emotion, like Kemp running the bases after that homer last night, and Carpenter in both games. Not just at home plate after hitting a homer, but after and on the way to first.

minor update like every year and i will not buy again until they overhaul the commentary and presentation. It also doesnt help when the only team you like (Phillies) suck!

One thing I'd like to see is a little more personalization from the generic minor league stadiums. EX: Have some spots for the home team's logo to be placed, such as on the scoreboard, the outfield wall, etc.

Also, most minor league stadiums are filled with ads, so plastering them all over minor league outfield walls would be a bit more realistic.

Little things like thosealong with a big change like A teams and the usual graphic updates could go a long way towards a better, more realistic game

I think the big picture includes both.

Improve franchise mode and such for the "wow" moments off the field.

Improve what you mention for the "wow" moments and big events on the field.

Baseball includes both. Fans can get immersed in both.

For me the online needs to work as advertised out of the box next year. This year was a mess and I expected much better since the online seemed to improve with each year's release. I haven't played any online since a couple months around launch so I don't know if they figured it out. I typically play a lot of DD and was ranked relatively high the previous years, but this year I slowly lost interest. With online in any game the first month or so is when people play the most, then it slowly fades away over time. I was one of those that lost interest and I feel like I wasn't alone and I hope that the poor online at launch won't deter people from playing next year.

I'm only focused on growing the sales of the game. What I mentioned in terms of stats won't. What I mentioned in terms of excitement will.

They can do both, of course. In fact they try and do that each year already.

Selling the public on the excitement of baseball only helps everyone. More excitement generates more interest which generates sales which means more money which results in being able to put more resources into the game which means a better game with more features.

We win, they win.

Backs of uniforms and logos on helmets need to be fixed. With next gen this should not be an issue. Hell, if Madden can do it this group SCEA can do it.

2 things I really hope we get are more stats and seperet fielding sliders for CPU and user. With not having seperet sliders in order to get a realistic amont of erros by the CPU I have to get to many. If I have it so I get a realistic amont the CPU almost gets none.
