I'm still waiting, as many of us are, for the day when players wear their own team's uniform during the All-Star game. We were told before the release of the Playstation 4 that it was a memory issue. I bought that. Now I'm starting to wonder. Is this just entirely too complicated to pull off? I'd love to see it but honestly, how many times do we use the All-Start game? More often in Road to the Show I'm sure but percentage-wise I'd say that playing the All-Star game makes up for less than 1% of games we play.

Devs already said the jersey files are massive and individual ASG uniforms most likely isn't happening.

It was explained that having each player wear an individual team uniform would slow the framerate to snail's pace.

I know I said this in another thread, but this is MLB 15 The Show. Not MLB 1984 The Show. It should be a priority to get in the current 2015 uniforms first. Then if there is room left, add a throwback. Throwbacks should never be put in over a current uniform.

100% agree. I feel they need to completely overhaul the uniforms and the way they allocate "slots".

It's 2015 and with new hardware id like to see much better uniforms with realistic fabric textures, physics, correct logo scales, sleeveless jerseys, correct number orientation etc, etc, etc

I appreciate they are still using last gen assets regarding uniforms etc and it isn't necessarily easy to rewrite those but one can hope after seeing some great uniforms in other games.

The Show is my favorite game, but in terms of uniforms they are light years behind others

I'm not a big stickler for uniforms or anything, but I don't understand the "slot" limit.

Is it a limitation of the age of the game engine and how it was developed long ago?

Don't really understand why it would be so hard to implement an extra slot.

allocation of resources. If you continue to add resources (not sure what cpu terminology is) to uniforms, that takes away resources for other aspects of the game.

At least that is my understanding.

Sounds like it is disc space. The uniforms ship with the disc and are not downloadable via patches or updates like other games. Each uniform is a huge file. To add more slots would be to use more disc space, which is limited.

Until they redesign the entire method of how their uniforms are made we may be stuck having to choose the 10 uniforms. And redesigning the system would take time and resources.

Like I said in this thread before. If they keep it at 10 slots for the time being then they should remove a few things and add what is missing.

EXAMPLES:
Teams that wear the same batting practice uniforms at home and on the road cut the BP jersey slot to 1 instead of 2. (with teams this applies to)

Cut the throwbacks slots from 4 to 2. 1 Home 1 Road

This would help with teams with multiple alternates in my opinion.

Unbelievable how big these Uniforms files are, definitely not skins with a few deviations.

The talk of not being to add through patches or updates because of file size is insane when you see some of the day 1 patches for other titles. Seems something is extremely inefficient in which the way they are created.

Ok, I agree. But I am guessing that if was that easy they would have done it already.

That is possible may not be as easy to do, but we don't even know if they've thought of that either. I would think it would be easier to eliminate a uniform but who knows....... (They dropped the Faux Rays and Mets camo unis, but each was an alternate for an alternate)

What is the exact definition of "massive" in this case? It can't be in the GB range considering a BD is only 50GB.

As a Cub fan who will be playing several games up at Miller Park, I hope so too. Really a big deal if it's your team.
