Not to bring in other games again, but just like people use 2k (especially 2k5) to talk about what 2k actually did do right with football, 2k for baseball, nailed the presentation. Graphics and gameplay suck for MLB 2k, but the presentation was a "home run" HAHA sorry.

This is the video I used to get that screenshot, but the first minute and 5 secs or so shows what the Show needs.
They managed to screw their game up as time went along. Lots of good things in the video especially if you consider how old it is now.

First thing Sony could do is get rid of the Jeter right hand up when any right handed hitter steps into the box. Please.

I disagree. When there's no icing at all or a very faint taste of it, then the food isn't even worth eating, let alone it tasting anywhere near good.

The Show needs icing. A lot more of it, or to put it in better terms, a new flavor. Not saying, in The Show's case, the food is "bad" (because it's F'ing delicious and has been for a while now), but every once in a while, things need to be spiced up a bit; flavors changed.

        ie: The Show's presentation.

I'm just begging for more varied hitter animations for the time between pitches.

What.. why? You mean you can't except that Sonys game needs certain improvements in the animation dept?

Thanks for posting this, it's almost perfect! I say almost only because it still doesn't show the full breadth of signature animations. During the 1st inning the full personalized walk up animations for each batter are skipped due to the fielding layout going into full detail. It's really quite amazing how much attention to detail Kush and the 2k8 team went into!

Sony was seriously on the right track with signature animations back when I was chatting with Chris around 07.. but somewhere along the way it stopped.

To go into further detail with what the 2k8 game accomplished. They had separate swing & miss and take pitch animations after balls and strikes for each batter. It really went in depth to the point of every batter feeling truly unique with their at-bat animations.

why you love the 2k fluff and I could care less for it as again most of that stuff was in Triple Play and or done better IMO in MLBTS as is

Ok, if you dont want to use 2k as an example, here's another one. Even if SCEA brought in someone to do the presentation over like someone from MLB network like Madden brought in an NFL films guy to redo their presentation, it'd be so much better. Madden in general as usual anymore unfortunately, falls short in a lot of areas, but their new presentation is awesome for what it is. Brian Murray (I think is his name) did a great job with that. SCEA needs to go with the same approach I think.

Love how the video talks about the Phillies going into a hostile environment and brags about their road record when they are the home team lol........

Ok, maybe the commentary isn't spot on with the video being shown, but the point is that this is the direction the Show needs to go in concerning presentation. (I'm sure they're good enough to match up audio when not if they do it) lol.

The commentary is actually fine. The Phillies weren't the home team. If you get to the game-play part, you'll notice the Phillies are batting at the top of the inning, Rays at the bottom. Not sure why they didn't just play a regular home game, but there you have it.

Yea my bad. Still odd the Phillies are wearing their home whites if they are the away team.
