Yeah, I guess the user just selected them, same as the stadium. Which brings me back to not understanding why they didn't just play a regular home game...lol. Maybe they wanted the Phillies to bat first? I dunno. Definitely makes for a weird look though.
Anyway, sorry OP....didn't mean to get sidetracked on the video. There is certainly plenty to be done about presentation and animations regardless from where one pulls examples from.
More on point, I'm not sure I'd consider signature walkups, etc as my "one necessity" at this point (for me, things like stat tracking and league history would take precedence...not to mention some more general animation fluidity and transition), but I get you...especially on seeing the full animation get played out rather than cut off. Hopefully it all gets some attention.
On another side note, I recently read an article talking about how retailers were surprised at how many people have abandoned and/or moved forward from the older systems already this time around (compared to the previous transition between generations). Hopefully this bodes well for just how fast we can move from splitting priorities, so we can see all these details come to fruition sooner than later.
