I'm not sure what C.J.S was talking about specifically, but MLB '14 did not run @ 60fps all the time. In most ballparks, when throwing across the diamond there was a very noticeable drop in framerate, to the point where it looked like one of the cutscenes in some cases.

I know... 14 didn't. But 15 will... And that's what I was talking about. It's been confirmed 15 will be 1080/60... but this guys complaining about a game he hasn't experienced hands on yet. Give it 38 days or so for the game to drop, then complain about the finished product...Seriously, people who complain about the little things over an UNFINISHED WIP product annoy me. Sorry, I'm done.

Let's see if I can help you out Ramone..... um, buddy.... they've already got it running at 1080p 60 fps.. (AS THE FINAL BUILD.....) not sure what else you want. It's a baseball game.... what other engine do you have in mind?????

so will we see this only on tvs that are 120 hrz refresh rates and higher... or will those of us that are still at 60 htz be able to see the 60 frames per second improvements?

Gameplay is 100% 1080 60. Cut Scenes maybe not. Havent payed much attention to them.

To say this as nicely as I can..... the developers have the game running at 1080/60 for the final build... if your TV can't do that... that sucks for you, BUT the developers have the game running at that measure.

Lmao because you're saying it like it's a done deal 100% true. and it's a pretty big deal, that I have yet to see confirmed by any credible source (I could have missed it, which is why I'm asking for proof).

On top of that you quote HosAndMoose like that's suppose to mean something, and on top of that, his quote said gameplay was 1080p 60fps (which i'm not even sure that's true), and you're essentially stating the whole game is gonna be 1080p 60 fps including cut scenes.

I'm not happy, i just don't want false information being spread around.

I'd be more happy if you found proof that it was going to be 1080p 60 fps.

I left my FPS counter in the car, lol. Seriously though, frame rate seemed very solid, and was one of the first things we were asked specifically to focus on. So I think we are in for a much better experience, in that respect, since FPS optimization is one of the final steps in the process.

This is the best I can give you without a purple named guy laying down the law.. (Also, just to mention here, since FPS and framerate is one of the last things to be optimized, NO ONE will know what's going on definitively with that until launch and retail copies hit our TV's.)

That being said man, I do apologize for making seem like it was already confirmed, I did believe it already was, but after I tried to dig for the definitive answer, I couldn't find it. I'll concede that...

In a yearly franchise made on the same engine you can make some assumptions though. Last year the game was not 60 fps, it was in some spots (some batter walkups) and it was very obvious when it went from normal gameplay to smooth 60 fps and then back again.

So the floor for expectations should be last year and the ceiling would be a locked 1080p60 game. Depending on how well they optimize, with the new visual elements added in, I expect something in the middle of these two figures. The only thing that worries me is how the team repeatedly talks about working on the game until right before release and not just optimization going from what has been said in the recent live streams.
