That's completely irrelevant to who the better pitcher is. Players aren't judged and valued simply on their postseason merits. This isn't football.

Jon Jay hit .483 in the 2014 playoffs. Do you now consider him one of the best players in baseball based off that? Come on now.

In all 3 World Series he has only given up 1 run and that was a HR this past World Series. Which leads to the lowest ERA of a starting pitcher with like 25 innings pitched.

Either way all I said was Post Season performances have to be thrown in to the equation. Now whether it's for OVR or just Clutch I don't know. But we can't act like the post season performances never happened. That's where the difference between a great ball player and a legend is made!

      Clutch, it's 100% clutch.

His 88 postseason innings (holy crap, by the way) don't outweigh his 952 regular season innings.

No they definitely don't, but I'm saying as far as SCEA rates them, I don't know if they just mix the post season stats with regular season stats to get the OVR rating or they look at things like play off performances strictly for clutch...which in the end clutch I'm pretty sure can change someone's OVR right?

Tell that to Boston who overpaid considerably for Sandoval after his postseason performance haha.

Not enough pop in his bat for that and other than this past year his post season numbers were abysmal.

What about Bumgarner's 2012 post season? What is the point of picking and choosing which post season is meaningful? Freese was magnificent during the Cards world series, great in the Clutch. Next year this game gave him a 99 for Clutch. You can look him up to see how clutch he was after that post season.

Since Freese was in a few post seasons, 2011 was his "clutch" post season, the others from 2012 on were not comparable.

You using the qualifier "overpaid" tells me that you agree with me.

What makes you say he is overpaid? The cost for a win is around 7 million this year. Cant remember the exact number. He had a WAR of 3.4. So he was underpaid. For this year anyway. Doubt he can keep up a 3+ WAR year for 5 years.

Sandoval is a bit too unreliable for the steep price tag of 19 million a year. He's a solid player but his big fluctuations in weight and execution should be cause for some concern.

Also it's impossible to gauge if it's Cameron's 5 million a win or Pollis' 7 million. Pollis' number is heavily based on projecting the future which is obviously impossible to determine.

If we're going WAR. Pablo had 3.0 this year, a 2.3 last year and a 2.6 the year before that. Averaged to 2.63. That's close if you're going by Pollis' numbers (overpaid by a little less than 2 million for 3 years or overpaid 16.5 million for 3 years by Cameron's quote).

I think Pablo will more often be between 2.3 and 2.6 in WAR because he let's himself slide in terms of effort and maintaining his body. He's a guy who constantly needs a motivator to push him. 2014 was a contract season and I think that had a big impact on his WAR. Like in 2011, when Pablo's career was in danger and he fought back from a weak sophomore season to get a 5.5 WAR. Now that he's got the big contract, there's a lot less to push him.

fWAR values a win at $5.3M last season. Sandoval had a 3 WAR, so he was worth $15.9M last season.

He is getting paid an AAV of $19M over the next 5 seasons. So he will need to revert back to the top-notch 3B he was 4 years ago when he was hitting .300+ with 20+ HR and exceptional defense. That's a tall order.

More realistically, he should be able to amass a 12-13 WAR or so over the next 5 seasons. If he does that, he should have been "worth" about $75-85M or so. An overpay, sure, but it shouldn't be an albatross contract unless he starts having injury problems.

So a lot of the top player ratings got show today during that fantasy draft.

A couple that stood out to me

                          Miguel Cabrera- 99
                          Mike Trout- 99
                          Buster Posey- 93
                          Madison Bumgarner- 92

Anyone grab a screen shot of some of the other guys during the fantasy draft?
