    Ok I got a question I'm hoping someone here can help my understand.

    How can Miguel Cabrera be a 99? When I think a 99 I think someone who can do EVERYTHING, kinda like Trout. Last time I checked Miguel isn't fast and isn't stealing any bases. Also I don't really know so I'm not gonna assume, but how good is his fielding?? I mean give him 99 in hitting Im ok with that. But wouldn't that other stuff bring him down from a 99?

        He's a first baseman so his hitting attributes are weighed more heavily than anything else. If you move him to third base he would drop down from a 99. The ratings formulas are dynamic for each position SS values fielding alot more than LF or 1st base for example.

            Gotcha, that makes sense. Now that I think about it, not many 1B are stealing bases anyway. Definitely makes sense now that I know position rating has something to do with it, thanks for the reply Ramone! 👍

                So Max Scherzer is better than Chris Sale, and Chris Davis is better than Jose Abreu.....

                How is Nick a Sox fan and he lets things like that slide?

                    I am assuming the rosters are not set in stone but during franchise mode I saw that they had Miami ranked 1st and Houston was 5th. Interesting lol

                        Was that after they simmed a couple seasons? Or possibly when they uploaded a franchise that already simmed a couple seasons and that's why those rankings are like that?

                            No pretty sure it was started from scratch from the default rosters. They only showed the Cardinals chise from 14 for a quick second then went back to start a new one. I will try to take screen shots...and upload.

                                    It might be because the team overall is for the entire organization and not just for the MLB roster?

                                        Yeah that is what I was thinking too at first; however they also said the farm systems are completely random. It is not a huge deal, but it is fun to get a sneak peak on potential team rankings. Overall ranks don't really mean much as it is and I highly doubt SCEA would put Houston and Miami as top 5 teams.

                                        If anything I am just excited to use Houston for some reason. It may be my dark horse team to use online with Carter, Springer, Castro, Rasmus, and Gattis in the middle of the lineup. Plus they got Altuve and Lowrie up the middle, along with 2 young arms at the top of their rotation. They also added Neshek!

                                            Only complaint so far is Greg Holland. No way in hell he should be a 90 and Kimbrel a 96. Since Holland became the Closer in 2013.

                                            Holland 93 saves, Kimbrel 97. Holland 5 Blown Saves, Kimbrel 8. Holland 129.1 IP, Kimbrel 128.2. Holland 13.43 K/9, Kimbrel 13.50. Holland 2.64 BB/9, Kimbrel 3.22. Holland 1.32 ERA, Kimbrel 1.40, Holland 1.59 FIP, Kimbrel 1.88, Holland 5.4 WAR, Kimbrel 4.4.

                                            Saves go to Kibrel. Blown Saves go to Holland. K/9 goes to Kimbrel. BB/9 goes to Holland, ERA goes to Holland, FIP goes to Holland, WAR goes to Holland.

                                                I think I saw Chris Davis at 85 and Abreu is less than that?!

                                                    I watched the video and Abreu is rated higher than Davis with Overall. The problem I see is Abreu who hit .305 against right-handed pitchers has 67 for Contact!!! I have no idea what his h/c zones look like, but 67?!
                                                    He hit .305 against righties and .353 against lefties.

                                                    The other thing I find questionable is Machado is A potential, and I think Harrison is as well, talking third basemen, and Arenado, two-time GG with good hitting gets a B for potential--and he's just 23 years old.

                                                        In an earlier video, Abreu was an 84. What was he in this video? I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet.
