Re: MLB 15 The Show Player Rating Predictions

Going to attempt at predicting the Cubbies
(Although will this all even matter if we all just use OSFM rosters?)

    Lineup:
    - CF Dexter Fowler (78)
    - SS Starlin Castro (83) - he's so good at the plate but defense brings him down
    - 1B Anthony Rizzo (90) - if hes not a 90+ thats ridiculous.look at his '14 stats
    - RF Jorge Soler (82) - This could be deemed way light by June. kids a monster
    - C Miguel Montero (80)
    - 2B Javier Baez (78) - Power is insane
    - 3B Arismendy Alcantara (74)
    - LF Chris Coghlan (74) - i dont think people know how good he did in 2014

    Bench:
    - 2B Tommy LaStella (70)
    - C David Ross (71)
    - LF Chris Denorfia (72)
    - 3B Mike Olt (62)
    - SS Jonathan Herrera (65)

    Rotation:
    - LHP Jon Lester (90)
    - RHP Jake Arrieta (87)
    - RHP Kyle Hendricks (79)
    - RHP Jason Hammel (79)
    - LHP Travis Wood (70)

    Bullpen
    - RHP Edwin Jackson (62)
    - LHP Tsuyoshi Wada (75)
    - RHP Jason Motte (75)
    - RHP Blake Parker (73)
    - RHP Neil Ramirez (82)
    - RHP Pedro Strop (82)
    - RHP Hector Rondon (82)

I dont know which ratings were revealed in what streams, etc. Just my stabs at the ratings these guys should get.

I'm thinking OSFM doesn't re-rate MLB players, but just creates minor league prospects?

A lot of OSFM rosters change the ratings, im really wondering/curious about when the OSFM rosters are going to be dropped in relation to the release date

Base OSFM set doesn't re-rate the players already in the game.

While basically....things will be the same as usual....we are also going to be creating the Hybrid set in conjunction with the stock O.S.F.M.
The Hybrid set is usually one that Willard76 and teeds(both editors for the O.S.F.M. as well) work on after helping complete the stock O.S.F.M.
Both take on quite a bit of work for the original set before tackling an equally tough job in creating the Hybrid.
This year....we will facilitate this by working on both at the same time instead of waiting one for the other.
The minor league players created for each set will be the same.....the only real difference is that Willard76 and teeds will import them onto the updated SCEA players....while Ridin' will import them into the "stock" O.S.F.M.

That's the team I will be playing with. A little surprised to see Wong slightly ahead of Carpenter.

Ok is it just me or was MadBums rating a 94 last night during the stream??

I could of swore I saw it say 94 and he was previously a 92. But then again maybe that's just cause he's gained attribute points during the season

Anyone have Mariners ratings? I haven't watched any streams, all I've seen is Felix is a 97 and Cano is a 95

they definitely tuned down the ratings this year. Remember the first year they had Numbers attached to the overall ratings and there were 15+ 99 Overalls. This year, I think I have only seen 3 (Trout, Cabrera, Kershaw). Also, the general overalls have been toned down. A lot more high 80's and less lower 90's than last years. I like it though because it really differentiates between guys who are 95+ and a 89.

Is that a product of tweaking the overall formula or the ratings formulas? Or both?

Another thing I wanted to ask - Does the low number of 99's mean that is the absolute highest overall? No more 120 Mike Trout?
