Has anyone noticed that the weather in season/franchise mode is always clear? This is an option you can change, but I remember there was some variety in past years...

Yeah it was talked about somewhere. Dont think we ever got an answer on if its just a bug or if thats how it will be from now on.

It's not a show stopper, there is a work around. But add this issue to the list of features that worked fine in MLB 14 that all of a sudden do not work in this build. It is as if there was no regression testing, and if the game was tested the results were ignored. I've resorted to looking up the real world weather at the source city prior to starting the game and using that as the in game weather. At least this way it adds a little variety to always being clear skies.

Thanks for your replies. It looks like there already is a bug report:

I'm using a season mode at the moment and it's not just Franchise (though that should be obvious by now).

Do you guys think they are using anisotropic filtering?
I see texture soup in distant grass but also textures on dugout art and around the stadium.

It might just be bad textures but it seems worse from certain angles which suggests lack of AF.

I know other ps4 games have had this issue patched (dying light and dmc most recently)

Hi guys. I was hoping someone can answer a couple of somewhat newbie questions on Auto baserunning vs Manual baserunning... I don't have too much free playing time, wish I did. I usually use manual baserunning with (classic) buttons. I have always had trouble running bases, blowing games while doing so.... 1. If I switch to Auto baserunning, while having a guy on 1st....can I still command him to steal 2nd or will he steal 2nd on his own ?? 2. For Auto baserunning again.... Let's say I have a slow runner on 2nd,I hit a single, and the runner automatically stops at 3rd....do I still have the option to send that guy on 3rd home ?? Does anyone have any negative thoughts, comments about Auto - baserunning ?? Thanks in advance,as I want to start my Franchise real soon, and your guys help would be great !!!

This is kind of stupid. But I close my eyes and just press right on the directional pad for between 15 and 30 seconds. Whatever I stop on is the weather for that game.

Q: How do I get the out of town scores to show up (ticker and digital scoreboards at parks) during my franchise games when using 30 team control?

Do I have to sim all the other games manually prior to playing my own game?

Yes. I thought that I had seen it change in a Spring Training game, but now I'm thinking I must've changed it without paying attention. It definitely stays clear each game.

While its not a big deal as i just change it as I see fit, hopefully they can patch it if its not working as intended.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

At least I no longer have to deal with rain at retractable roof stadiums, guessing I'll just roll a die before each game to determine weather.

Years ago, I too became tired of blowing games on the base paths and switched to Auto. I've never looked back. You can command a player to steal and sometimes they go on their own. I never mess with trying to force a runner in from second on a single so I'm not sure if you can. The AI does a good job running bases for you, with just the right amount of poor decisions.

FWIW, I use Auto Fielding and Throwing also. It eliminates some aggravation and makes the game much nicer to look at (no spinning baseball to show you where to catch the ball, no throw meter etc). Essentially, all I do is pitch and hit and I like it that way.

Perhaps, in your opinion. I guess you think hitting and pitching are "barely" part of the game.
