Why would it make sense to transfer over a save that's several years in the future and have the rosters suddenly warp to 2015 opening day rosters in the middle of a season or something? Carry over saves is so that you can continue on the same save file with whatever rosters are currently in your game, whatever trades, free agent signings, etc. have happened, and you can keep playing that same franchise or RTTS on this year's game, and next year's game. So you can finally finish an RTTS career or play 20 years into a franchise rather than doing a couple seasons and starting over again when the new game comes out.

It was never intended to keep your old save files from 14 all with 2015 rosters. That doesn't make any sense at all.
So taking a RTTS guy and playing the 14 season then rolling it over to the 15 game makes no sense ? I like keeping it semi realistic, I have 0 control over trades and FA additions. I just feel a little disappointed as I could finish a 20 year career in the show 14

After simming about 10 seasons I can confirm that the service time rules are not correct. I'm not surprised as most of the small things like that don't work quite right in The Show. For Kris Bryant I have to call him up on the 20th not the 17th which is the actual date. The Cubs have 3 off days so that could have something to do with it being incorrect. However, I cannot confirm if a one game playoff would screw that date up in the game as it adds a couple days to the season.

So add however many off days your team has before the 17th to get the date you call up prospects and get an extra year of control.

I called him up on the 19th and he finished with 171 days (1 shy of a full year). For some reason the first day after the regular season and last day of post season results in 1 day of service time being added. It only does it the first season from what i can tell.

Can anyone give me some step by step instructions on carrying my franchise and RTTS from 14 on the PS3 to 15 on the PS4? I uploaded my old files to the cloud but when I choose continue from 14 it says no files found. And if I choose the option to download from the cloud it says no files found.

You can't jump systems between years. You have to use a copy of MLB 14 for the PS4 then download your PS3 cloud file and save it to your PS4 harddrive. Then you can import that file to 15

I believe Gamestop still let's you return used games within a week, so buy a used copy, do the import, then return it.

Mind if I ask who you've seen this with? I have a theory that maybe the only guys the CPU takes that extra step with are guys who NEED it. TBH I don't pay much attention to the slower runners when they get on base.

I have like never been able to hit a changeup in these games because it looks 100% like a fastball to me so even if I try to want I am still early just cant time it.

                      I have one for everyone:

Does holding the ball for different lengths of time as a pitcher affect the CPU running game?

Example: I, as Chris Tillman, have a runner on first. In real life baseball he is known for holding runners based on his change in cadence when pitching (one pitch he'll hold for a second after coming set, the next he'll hold for 3, etc.)

They mention it in the commentary of the game, and it's a nuance I definitely use online. Just curious as to whether the CPU interacts the same way (mostly since NORMALLY when there is a commentary line in this game, it's the devs trying to teach you something).

                        Roster question:

How do you handle teams who currently have more injuries than the game allows in regards to Franchise mode?

Playing as a pitcher I don't feel CPU runners get affected by the amount of delay that I vary. This is one reason why I actually want CPU runners to attempt (or by mistake) early steal, so that them taking off is not guaranteed to happen after you start your delivery. Base stealing still feels a bit too automatic and depends too much on dice roll to me.

No, it doesn't make sense. Once a RTTS is started it creates an alternate MLB reality. Trades, injuries, stats, etc are all independent of real-life MLB. Where would you expect your RTTS player to suddenly fit into these new rosters that are completely different than the MLB world you created that revolves around your player. He'd have to be demoted back to AA because he doesn't exist in the current real life rosters. That wouldn't make sense either.

I have never experienced this so I don't know if it has always been this way but:

I fast forwarded my game in Franchise mode. My game didn't Auto Save and I exited before I realized. No big deal as I wanted to play the game over anyway. So if you fast forward does it always disable auto save??

                                Two questions:

During Franchise is there a way to have the CPU let you know when a Triple A guy is playing well and might need to be called up?

Also is there a way during Franchise to permanently turn on Quick Counts or do you have to do it before each game?
