Timing.
Which this year is under the guise of 'directional' .
or pure analog which is timing with the stick.

Could you capture an image directly off your PS4?

Hit the share button and capture a screenshot. From there you can take the images from your photo section and place them on a USB drive.

sure here they are. look at the grass texture difference and the armpit area on stroman. and these screenshots arent anywhere near as prominent as it really is on my 60 inch tv.

edit. also look at the 3/4 sleeves on the catcher martin. you can see his skin shows through on the bottom photo after i picked my pitch.

Can somebody speak on color in this years game? Do black jerseys appear less washed out? Does the grass appear to be more vibrant? I know sometimes the streams can wash those colors out. I wasnt sure if anyone noticed a difference in person than we saw in the streams?

Do player defensive attributes play more of a noticeable difference in the outcome of fielding results this year?.....Other than speed, I never really saw much of a relationship or correlation between fielder ratings range, fielding, reaction and the outcomes on the field in previous versions of the game

There really was no difference between a Shawn Dunston, Ryan Sandberg, Ozzie Smith, Jose Reyes, and a Daniel Murphy in the fielding results playing out in real time!!

I hope this has improved

Also, Every ball hit to the outfield had outfielders jog to get to the balls....are there different variations now in outfield track downs of fly balls???

Any differences in the feel of Hitting?

I would like to know this too.

In real life i believe its April 17th this year. I would assume the game is the same for the first year.

According to THIS Fox Sports article there are usually 183 days in the season. So as long as you wait at least 12 days to call someone up then you will be fine.

Has anyone figured out how to influence a hit using zone hitting? You used to be able to hit R2 and the right analog stick but that is no longer an option. As far as I can tell, the new directional stuff is only for timed (directional) hitting.

Or am I missing something?

Highly doubtful, they have never done this in the past.

I was told that feature is gone, and has been gone a while. Us thinking it had been making an effect on our swings were wrong.

The right stick swing influence does not exist anymore. We recently learned it had been out of the game for a couples years now.
