This seems like a good place to ask this. As far as the online play it's been smooth for me, with the exception of 1 game. I never played 14 online, and so far my only problem has been with selecting pitchers, to start the game with. I play with the Royals, and after two games Ventura is out of energy, at the choose team screen. But if I click down to pick another starter, say Duffy, then it searches and connects to opponent, it still starts the game with Ventura, who throws about 5 pitches and is out of energy. Am I missing something? How do I choose who I want to start the game with at the start before the game connects? Hope this makes sense.

Online has been marvelous for me. It comes as a surprise obviously because of last year and people having completely different things happening on their screens, but also because of the negative reviews I've seen so far. Make sure you post your down/up and ping, that says a lot right there. But I played versus a fellow OSer who I know has good connections and is hardwired. It was very smooth, I have 100 down and 12 up, was wireless, and had a solid ping. Like I said, we had no issues whatsover apart from the little buffer which didn't affect the gameplay at all. I then followed that up with a Diamond Dynsaty game versus a random. That was smooth as well. Online has been good so far!

I'm running 20mbps. Past few days D&D has been great. Today I've been getting server error after server error. I caught the last out of a win and then my center fielder froze running in. It said my game was in the que and I didn't get any rewards. It was pretty annoying.

Given that I haven't touched online for 2 years my opinion may not hold the merit of some. However, with that said I played my first online game the other night and was thoroughly impressed. Last time I played online it was simply impossible to complete a game without tossing my controller through something but MLB 15 seems to have it right. Yeah there is a little lag here and there but that is to be expected, especially with a game like The Show, but the bottomline is...IT IS PLAYABLE.

Its 50/50 for me... some games run smoothly with little lag and some games are absolutely horrible making base running impossible . You'll hit a single and the ball will roll to the wall but the right fielder had thrown it in to second because on the other end he fielded the ball smoothly and ill go for second and get thrown out.

when it lags the opponents pitches lag which makes hitting near impossible

then there is other times where the game is completely enjoyable with no problems

I finally tried out a couple online games this weekend with Diamond Dynasty and I was shocked how well it ran. I've had zero luck getting a playable game going since they started online. This is the first year it's actually fun and feels almost like playing offline. There was 1 pitch in 2 games that really warped on me and the timing was completely different than what it should have been but other than that it was just minor things that didn't effect gameplay.

Ran into a couple weird graphics/animation glitches but nothing that made a difference on the outcome of the play. Mostly just a weird warp a couple times when an infielder fielded a ball and ran to the base, but I would have been out easily anyways so it didn't make a difference.

Huge change from playing one game one day one, one game after they release the first big patch and then never playing again because it's been so awful. Excited to be able to change it up a little with some multiplayer since I really just play franchise with a little RTTS mixed in.

Hit an miss.ive had games where I had hits, only to find out for the next batter the player was out. Hit a HR only to find out the player was out, it makes no sense.

15-3 so far, with 7 wins and 2 losses due to loss of connection in Diamond Dynasty... Too many HR's in DD...

just had a 1-0 16 inning that contained 50+ combined strike outs I won on a suicide squeeze ... was really life like and realistic!!

Well after about 25-30 games online between diamond dynasty and online franchise that were for the most part flawless, I had two diamond dynasty games freeze after my batter was hit by the pitch. It seems like the batter left the batters box and the TV screen but never made it to first base. And the pitcher waited for the ball to be thrown to him on the mound but it never came. Both games were lag free. I hope this glitch is fixed because before this I was having a blast online.

I've only played one game online so far, but I can say I experienced a hiccup or two in lag, and my opponent and I experienced different screen visuals for plays. (Outcome was same, but what we saw happen was different, kind've weird).

Ok here is my review.
I have nearly 85 DD games played.

As far as lagg in the game I have seen very minimal lag.
I have had 2 games where the opponent lost connection to where I got the win.

One problem I see that needs fixed is the fielding glitches. What I mean by this is I will hit a ball and on my screen it appears to be a fielding error from the opponent or he will throw the ball away, which makes me go to the next base, when in fact the ball was fielded correctly or thrown correctly and I am out.

My One big issue I see is the same glitch cheep *** players use while pitching.

The pitch good without throwing the Intentional unhitable balls until they score a run. Then about 95% of the rest of the game is unhittable pitches. The problem with this is they know how to perfectly throw them. As the batter the pitches come in looking like a strike but in actuality end up in the dirt or just above the strike zone.

Other than that the game has so far played perfectly for me

I've already tripled the amount of games that I played online last year. That wasn't exactly a hard task to accomplish, but the game is definitely more enjoyable online this time around.
