Re: How Has Your MLB 15 The Show Online Experience Been?
Will the online franchise ever be fixed?!?! Three buddies and myself did a franchise and played the first night, however, it has been not working for the past 9 days! This is very frustrating and what is even being done to resolve this?!?!Comment

Re: How Has Your MLB 15 The Show Online Experience Been?
i havent had any games freeze up on me yet online...but ive only played 5 diamond dynasty games so far. One thing i have noticed is if your opponent throws the ball away you can only advance one base. Had a guy throw a ball down the left field line...so i kept rounding the bases. next thing i know inning ends and it gave me an automatic out.Comment

Both times, my player took his base, but the camera stayed locked in catcher view as the pitcher and players around the diamond stood around. They were moving, the crowd sounds were still going and you could see the activity happening in the background, but the game would not continue beyond this. After about 3 minutes, a message pops up saying that my opponent was disconnected and I was awarded the win in both (was down by 1 in the first game, up by 2 in the second game).Comment

Are online servers down right now or something? Can't get into diamond dynasty or anything all the sudden.Comment

Re: How Has Your MLB 15 The Show Online Experience Been?
Since opening day something is amiss.
For every day since release day up until the day before opening day in MLB online was fantastic.
Since opening day......FUBAR.
I have to believe they are working through this and MLB Live and just the overall traffic has something to do with all this.
I played 4 online franchise games last night 3 out of those 4 froze. Huge bummer.
I could not even get connected for any DD games.
I finally at 1:30 am set was able to play a ranked game (amazingly I had another sim player matched up with me and we played a brilliant 4-3 win for myself Marlins (me) vs Reds) without a single hitch.
As always offline the game is top notch. The opportunity to have this game become legendary by being a solid online game is right there for them. Online opens up so many more modes for me. I have been playing offline for 6 years and finally took the online plunge. Now that I had a hearty taste of great online play with my all time favorite game (and sport) I want it all.
Please stabilize the servers guys. This game has 9.75/10 potential if online get's working again like it did at launch.
If it does not.....it will be a massive buzz kill. Online franchise IMO is amazing when you get 29 other sim/mature players together and have a great league. Truly amazing fun.Now Playing on PS5:

MLB The Show 25 - 2025 Yankees Year 1

Re: How Has Your MLB 15 The Show Online Experience Been?
Freezes and quits have been 100% of my online experience so far. Much like every other year of the show, i dont buy it for the online but it would be nice if it worked a bit better since they only keep it open for 12-18 months then start over with a new broken version

Re: How Has Your MLB 15 The Show Online Experience Been?
I haven't had many issues with games completely freezing or dying, but I have noticed some nearly unplayable lag on the base paths. I think they did a great job of making pitching/hitting work well, but as soon as a ball is in play, everything goes haywire.
I've stopped relying on the visual display when I make contact and rather pathetically just rely on Matt Vasguersian. I've seen fly balls drop in the outfield only to find out that they were actually caught and that my guy is out. I've seen grounders bounce by defenders only to find out that they've turned a double play. The key thing is not to ever try to take advantage of defensive miscues, even if it results in you sticking back on first when you could have easily managed a stand-up double. It's kind of sad, really.
Other than that I haven't encountered any consistent issues. One one-off (so far) that made me freak a little was when my opponent struck out on a pitch in the dirt, the game lagged, the ball ended up back with my pitcher and suddenly it wouldn't allow me to throw to first. That runner, then turned in the eventual game-tying run in what would have otherwise been a 1-0 shutout. This, though maddening, I can live with because it doesn't happen every single game - the base running is garbage in 80% of the games I've played in.Comment
