Re: Pure analog...
Patches are mainly for bugs not adding features so it would be 16 before you would see possibly something addressed if they were going to do anything at all.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Pure analog...
Well I've at least managed to find a brightside. I play with no menus or overlays whatsoever. All that's ever on the screens is ticker scoreboard and the pitch meter. I turn everything else off. The game looks so good I just want it to be as close to watching a game on Tv.
Basically the brightside of the new analog swing mechanic is that it's pretty fun to hit from the broadcast view instead of the usual catcher perspective. I tried it before but it was nearly impossible when you had to time your stride.
Don't get me wrong I'll gladly switch back if they add it back in But the writing is on the wall that i highly doubt its coming back this year, so I'm gonna move on and enjoy this new way of playing.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: Pure analog...
What makes some of the best analog controls as good as they are is there not being any way to replicate those controls with button presses. NHL, NBA even the TW series of golf games, have fantastic analog control schemes. But The Show's Pure Analog system circa 2011-2014 is unrivaled in its ability to replicate an action in a sport with a controller. Pure genius.
The devs created the equivalent of the organized chaos and intensity of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture that we call batting and turned it into Rebecca Black's Friday.

I might as well use the buttons this year. Very disappointed to see they removed pure analog hitting.Comment

Re: Pure analog...
I think what your saying is you're a fan of timing hitting. That's what the new pure analog is now. As far as I'm concerned, there is no "new pure analog", pure analog was removed from the game so Not sure why they even kept the name. Just have timing as a hitting option then let people pick "buttons" or "analog".Comment

And you can still do pure analog plus zone. It's all the same as last year... just without the best part, obviously. Now, more than everComment

Re: Pure analog...
The new pure analog isn't all timing only. You still have horizontal control of the pci, so you can aim your swing inside or outside like it was last year.

I'll try to look through that thread again and confirm. But either way, like you said, stride was the best part about the pure analog system.Comment

Re: Pure analog...
Zone analog is virtually zone with buttons, just now the buttons are the right stick. There's no swing mechanic involved with the right stick anymore.Comment

Re: Pure analog...
You sure about that? I was browsing the other thread on this where ramone commented and people were saying they not only took out the stride but also the PCI placement from pure analog mode. So essentially making it timing.

Re: Pure analog...
Ok, Ive tried the "new analog" . Given it a chance for 6 games. The new analog is like playing slow pitch softball. There isn't that rewarding feeling when you have success like in hardball. It's just a boring system.
I'm gonna try zone with buttons as I haven't used that system since the PS2 years. What do you veterans suggest as the next best thing to the old "true analog" batting?Comment
