Yes, I realize that there was the stride timing involved and I loved that. But it had nothing to do with PCI placement (other than early/late moving it just slightly). I mainly play RTTS with some franchise and DD mixed in. To give you an idea, my last 3 seasons on RTTS on MLB 14 I had 40, 43, and 43 homers. Slugging .538, .582, and .621. I'm currently almost finished with my first full season on MLB 15 and I've got 20 homers with 17 games to play, slugging .506. Including equipment boosts, my guy has 102 contact/102 power vs. righties, 89 contact/88 power vs. lefties. 116 plate vision. 104 batting clutch. The reason I'm struggling so bad is because the AI has been placing my PCI in all kinds of wonky places, so every time I get a meat pitch, even with good timing I swing under it, or over it, or inside of it. Like I said... I don't WANT to control my PCI. Stride timing and swing timing is one thing (and I miss the stride a lot because it helped me time up the ball and get my rhythm down), but PCI placement is something I want nothing to do with. Too many balls in the air for me. I can't multitask that well lol.

I switched to directional and it doesn't seem to be moving the PCI all weird like before. It doesn't even show the PCI after a swing anymore, it just shows my timing, so I take it that means the PCI is getting placed in the proper spot based on my ratings.
Actually, pure analog has always been like this with the pci. ALWAYS. You had to stride and then push up to the left, right or center depending on the location of the pitch. The ONLY thing different about pure analog this year from last is that you don't have to stride for a regular swing.

You could influence pull or push by going up-left or up-right, but it was never to the degree that Wolverine and others have been describing, with basically the X axis being mapped circularly around the upper half of the right stick range of motion, having to adjust incrementally the angle of your swing to account for how far inside or how far outside. It was never like that in the past. It was just "if you wanna go to the opposite field, and the ball is middle to outside, push up and to the right (for a righty)." It wasn't a requirement in order to get your PCI anywhere near the ball. The PCI would be controlled by plate vision, and would still easily find the ball anywhere inside the strike zone as long as your vision was good enough.

Then you didn't properly understand pure analog in the past. I'm not gonna sit here and argue with you about it but I'm 100% sure it was the same thing last year plus the stride. Also, where you swung technically has and has had absolutely nothing to do with which side the ball was hit to, that was always timing based.
