Mets Defeat Nationals 7-1 in Game 6 to Capture NL Flag - 4 games to 2

With all the good news of the 16 version coming out soon, my carry-over franchise will be at least a member of a World Series contender. After dropping the 1st two at home, I took all 3 at Washington, and finished them off with Harvey's brilliance in Game 6, capped off by 2 HRs, 4 RBIs night from Cespedes.

Note: I noticed this starting pitcher stamina issue and had to compensate quickly. Rats!

So Did OSFMV1a Rosters (with some edits and tweaks) predict the 2 2015 WS Teams?

Almost. Get this. KC defeats the Yankees in a 1 game elimination. Then they dispatch the Tigers in 3 straight games in the ALDS. Now, they're the second team in MLB history to win the first 3, then go down in 4 straight to the Mariners. The Pacific North West is where we're heading.

    That's Baseball!

CC Sabathia returns to the mound to try and put his team over the top against the Cubs in hopes of clinching their 28th World Series Championship. However, Jason Hammel, Kris Bryant, and the rest of the Cubs hope to stay alive and force a Game 6 in the Bronx.

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread

So I finished off my Blue Jays carry over save and have it loaded and ready in spring training for when MLB 16 hits my PS4. In the meantime, I struggled to figure out what I wanted to do in the show. I tried pumping all of my extra stubs into an RttS character, but I just couldn't get into it.

I finally settled on a Season mode (ugh, season mode, I know) with a new team (the Mets) and a downloaded roster of completely fictional players. I added in a few custom players of my own that were balanced with the rest of the league, and I've been going to town on it. There are a few things that I discovered playing this mode.

        1. Fictional Roster was a great idea: It adds a lot of unique challenges and new scenarios you just don't find with a realistic roster. Also, I don't feel as guilty playing a team other than the Blue Jays.

        2. I Like NL Baseball better: I always suspected, but now I know. Strategy! Who knew it was so fun?

        3. I Like NL Stadiums better overall: Seriously, there are some gorgious stadiums in the NL, and I'm glad I get to see more of them while I wait for 16.

        4. ... Except Turner Field: That place kind of reminds me of progressive field, except with all of the joy sucked out of it and an extra layer of grime added on for good measure. Sorry Braves fans, I hope suntrust is better.

        5. It's great to give your players silly names: Nothing relaxes you more for an at bat then chuckling at Manny Manzo or Sluggy McSlugger. Also, my best pitcher so far is Lefty Lawrence.

        6. The Mets have numbers on the front of their uniforms: I never noticed that before. It kind of bothers me now. I'm going to be using those old throwbacks a lot. Like a LOT.

        7. It's easier to imagine the personality of created players: This helps me a lot, since I like to role play. Instead of guessing at real life personalities and trying to form a changeroom dynamic that way, it's all whatever I make up in my head, and there is no chance that I could be wrong to break the illusion.

Just some thoughts that I wanted to share. Sorry if I veered a little too off topic but I wasn't sure that this needed its own thread.

I finished the first regular season in my Rays franchise and came in third in my division but was able to get a wildcard spot. Went up against the Yankees and was able to beat them on the road 4-3. Now I'm going up against the Rangers in the ALDS. I'm hoping to get through the playoffs and all of the all season stuff and have it ready to go before MLB 16 comes out.

I think this is just a familiarity issue. As someone who plays with a National League team in this game, there are a number of American League stadiums that intrigue me. But that's because I don't get to play in them very often. There are some cool stadiums in both leagues.

I get that your line of thinking, but there are AL stadiums that I play in all the time that I LOVE (Fenway, Kaufman, even my hometown Rogers Center), and ones that I like (Target, Yankee Stadium, Progressive), but there are so many that I just felt blase about even the first time playing, and I hate playing at the trop or o.Co. It's not that I like all of the stadiums in the NL more than any in the AL, it's just that the NL has more in number that I like. In terms of individual quality, that's still up for debate in my mind.

Just finished game #5 of the ALDS and managed to come away with a 1-0 win. Now it's on to face the Royals in the ALCS.

Okay I have a quick question for this wonderful community.....

If I was to start a franchise, and then want to carry it over to the following year with the latest version of the game, how would it work with rosters?

For example, let's use Jason Heyward. When I buy 16' and then load into my old franchise from 15' I am assuming Heyward still plays on the Cards?

If this is the case, what do most guys in this community do about that issue?

And what do guys do about prospects? Because none of them would be in your franchise either other than the initial ones from you start.

Thank you to whoever can answer these for me!

When you carry your franchise over, everything remains exactly the same because that's now your unique baseball universe. With a carry over franchise, I'm not concerned about how it differs from real life. The only way to make one mirror the other is to replicate all trades, etc. in your franchise. I've never been one who does that, I like that my franchise is my own and how it plays out differently than real life.

I agree with you there. I guess this is my main concern.....

So for MLB 16' they have added around 150 new stances, new face scans for players have been done and so on....

With my carried over franchise from 15 into 16, will those new changes be there, or will it be all the old faces and stances still from 15'?

Thanks again for taking the time to answer my first question.

(After I asked it, I read that I could download an updated roster from the vault with ALLLL the prospects and updated rosters with off season moves, and boy did this please me! Amazing work by the team that did that!! Truly incredible.)

Yes, my understanding is that stances and such will be updated for SCEA players. So if there was a SCEA player in '15 and they're also in '16, they will be updated.

Yes, I can confirm from watching the streams and playing the a franchise from 14 carried over, that new batting stances, equipment and face scans WILL update in your carry over franchise. Each player has a player ID associated with them, so SSD just applies the updates to those IDs.

HOWEVER: Ratings will not be updated. This is your own baseball universe so it follows its own path. A good example of this: I currently am playing the game with the best shortstop in my game's baseball universe: Jose Reyes.

                              Hilarious, I know.

Yeah I am okay with ratings not being updated. That can always be done manually too.

So who am I to thank for all that hard work of these amazing updated rosters!? I can not believe the amount of prospects they added. I can't believe it has taken me THIS long to realize that someone had done all this work. Here I was like a fool trying to create as many prospects as I could. (It became too much for me after 10)

So tonight I will begin my new franchise and then for the first time ever, will carry it over to 16'.
