Yea man. Lmao that was huge...like...dang. If Joey bats wasn't such a emotional A bag I would have given that a standing O...if it were TUOLO or encarnacion...standing O...but Bautista and donldson cry a whole heck of a lot for me to appreciate. In any case. The better team won. I am pulling for the Cubs tho...team of destiny...back to the future called it long time ago and I am convinced

After turning a pitcher's duel to a laugher in Game 1 of the ALCS, would my Yankees keep the foot on the gas pedal? Check out results from Game 2 of the ALCS on my franchise page

Chicago White Sox: Miracle on 35th Street

I initially started a Houston Astros franchise, but decided Ill go with my hometown squad the Chicago White Sox. Ill give a lil details on my season maybe every few days or so, I love to read a lot of you guys updates and have been doing so for like 5 years now.

Team: We have recently finished up the first month of the season. We are one of the top teams in batting for average, and we have the leagues best pitching. The pitching staff is spearheaded by Chris Sale. Sale has 42.0 innings of work thus far, and a 1.29 ERA. He leads the majors in strikeouts, and has a 4-1 record on the season. Our closer David Robertson is doing his job and shutting down every opportunity he receives. Currently sitting at 9 saves, with just 9 innings of work on the season.

Jose Abreu, Adam LaRoche, and Melky Cabrera has been doing major damage with their bats this season. Abreu leads the AL in home runs, and RBI's after one game played in May. Melky Cabrera power has not arrived yet on the season but, his bat is alive and well as he is second on the team in hits. Cabrera is currently batting .358 which it tops on the team. Adam LaRoche leads the team in hits with 30, and also leads the team in doubles with 8.

Transactions: Thus far the team has held steady on not making any moves, however, the team has been in discussion on moving Alexei Ramirez whom can't seem to find his rhythm at the plate.

Record: We currently sit second in the Central behind the Detroit Tigers at 15-7. The Tigers are ahead by two-wins. We have dominated many of the series we have played and in the month of May shouldn't take any steps back as we only play three teams with winning records. "Granted its very early in the season"

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread

Back at it with MLB 15.

The Quest For Donny Baseball a 30 team 1987 Franchise has entered year 2.

The Yankees bowed out of the post season in year one to a strong Houston Astros club in the wild card game.

In the off-season The Yankees were able to grab a couple of rule 5 picks that were gifts.

Pitcher Eric Hanson was left unprotected by the Mariners
                  Third baseman Ken Camaniti

Pag's was lost to a career ending torn rotator cuff injury (a big blow).

We also traded Jay Buhner to Baltimore for a young Ben McDonald (AA) who still needs some seasoning.

The Yankees starting 5 look like:

                  Rick Rhoden
                  Ron Guidry
                  Bob Tewksberry
                  Eric Hanson
                  Charles Hudson

The Yankees also made a monster trade for Julio Franco sending SS/3B Jay Bell and 2 prospects to the Mets (who acquired Franco in year one). Julio now is entrenched at SS (where he first came up as) alongside Camaniti, Randolph and Donny Baseball.

The Yankees open the season at home vs the Blue Jays Who lost the WS to the Giants in year 1.

The Jays pounded Rhoden and Guidry taking games 1 and 2. The series finale will be this evening with Tewksberry on the bump.

You can follow The Quest on twitch=Todem23

Game will stream live and are also available to watch in the past broadcasts page of my channel.

Started up Tigers year 2 the other day; won the first two against Minnesota 3-1 and 5-3, then dropped the finale 7-5 (exciting game btw, Daniel Morris allowed 6 in the first inning, had to yank him, eventually trailed 7-0 in the 5th; rallied to make it 7-5 by the 8th before fizzling out); then dropped the Astros' home opener, 3-1.

2-2 with 14 runs for and 14 runs against. I'll take it. Gotta get this next one.

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread

In 2018 with my Mets. Dodgers won 2015, I won 2016, and Cubbies won 2017. NL has been dominating recently. But in year four I am starting to see the infamous overpower of the pitching.

Now, this game is flat out broken. It's INCREDIBLY easy to be good. A couple of trades utilizing the broken trade logic and you're basically good. But really, you only need one specialty in this game in order to NEVER have another losing season ever; pitching.

My lineup is subpar, to put it bluntly. It goes:
                            RF - Kole Calhoun
                            3B - David Wright
2B - Marshall Gold (made up)
                            C - Travis d'Arnaud
                            LF - Michael Conforto
                            1B - Me (made myself - I am 20 in 2018)
                            CF - Juan Lagares
                            SS - Gavin Cecchini
                            Pitcher

d'Arnaud is the best overall, at an 89 and Cecchini is the worst at a 71. In late June, Calhoun is my leader in HR and RBI with 13 and 34. Ridiculous, right? The Phillies as a team are batting .205. Two hundred and five. No one, not one team has an ERA over 4. And here's why.

I think we all know that pitchers progress way more easily and faster than position players, and also that there are about 6 pitchers for every 1 position player in the draft. Also, when you're the Mets with every single starting pitcher plus your closer over a 90, then how do you not win 100 games every year?
                            Syndergaard - 98
                            deGrom - 97
                            Harvey - 96
                            Matz - 94
                            Wheeler - 90
                            Familia - 91
2015 - 103 wins, 2016 - 103 wins, 2017 - 99 wins. Pitching is all you need to be good in this game. It's sooo incredibly easy to be good in this game. It's ridiculous.

Currently around 50-25 in 2018 now. Thor/Harvey both have ERA's under 1.50. Familia is under 1.00. And because of the starters success, relief pitchers get less action and yield poor results now. All of my relief pitchers ERA are above 3.50, even as they continue to progress. Sean Gilmartin, went to an 84 this year, and his ERA is 5.49 after a 1.98 last year. Okay?

This turned into a mini rant after trying to explain how well my Mets are doing but point and simple -- this game becomes too repetitive/boring when you keep winning and your pitchers are insane.

EDIT: Not to mention, that it's so easy to sign players to long contracts. With these deals and added bonus money and such, my budget is sky high and I could sign everyone. Meanwhile, all the other teams are spending their money absurdly and in 2016 Zimmermann went unsigned the whole year. I was the only one who could afford him. Ridiculous.

Got to the All Star break in my Mets franchise. Here are some stats:

                              Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Just about at the half way point for year one currently 38-38 with the Astros. Would certainly like to be doing better but it isnt the end of the world as there is still plenty of baseball to play and im only 3 games back from a wild card seed. Started off the season great was well above .500 then just started tanking the last month or so. Pitching has been a major issue recently all of my pitchers are on cold streaks I recently made a trade to acquire Chris Tillman and hoping the young talent can help get the season back on track.

Also signed a Tyler Colvin to a 2 year deal to fill in at center field due to injuries and just the need of a center fielder. Drafted a great Closer and a couple decent 1st baseman as I havent been happy with Chris Carters performance this season. Not 100% sure yet if I will get rid of him or not but I will likely try to trade for an outfielder as I believe at least 1 of the two rookies could easily take his job.
