Yes I discovered it about a week ago and posted about it here. Ramone said this thread was more for roster related bugs.

I did not file out a report because I didn't want to try and duplicate it. I asked if anyone in the community was braver than me and wanted to try it for themselves and had no takers. Lol. I can't blame them.

If you have an existing save in 15, and THEN carry over a 14 save file, your profile in 15 will get overwritten with the profile from the carryover.

Yeah I noticed your post about Dynamic Difficulty, but what I saw was the profile carry-over overwritting the currently-set profile in MLB 15, not just difficulty level. But I think the cause of the issue is the same. It seems some profile settings are saved to a mode save file, and somehow overwriting existing one.

A simple workaround for avoiding losing a profile on MLB 15 might be to create a dummy profile and use it when you load a Y2Y mode save file. I think that might work...

If I reproduce this in a meaningful way, I may file a bug report...

          1. I imported a Y2Y save with a profile that had Dynamic Difficulty settings at AS+ for hitting and Veteran+ for pitching. My difficulty levels carried over into my 15 Franchise (which is awesome!).

          2. I started playing like normal in 15 and had my Dynamic Difficulty levels change to AS for both pitching and hitting.

          3. I imported another save file from 14 that had Dynamic Difficulty levels attached to its Profile (AS+ hitting, Veteran+ pitching) for testing purposes in 15.

          The bug...

          4. I went back into my 15 Franchise file and my Dynamic Difficulty levels were back to my original AS+ hitting and Veteran+ pitching.

I know this might be confusing so I can try writing it differently if you need me too. Basically, once I had established a Y2Y Franchise in 15, bringing in an old 14 save would overwrite my DD levels back to where they were in 14.

I like that it did it initially, but don't like that I can never import an old 14 save into 15 again without risking overwriting the profile.

Basically, when you load a Y2Y save file, you will lose all existing user settings, and the ones saved to the Y2Y save will replace them. Don't know if this was intended, but it does look like an unwanted behavior.

Thanks for the response. I meant to point out in my previous reply that I hadn't connected the dots on it being the entire Profile being over written. I thought it was just my DD; reason being my DD level was LITERALLY the only difference between the Profiles.

But yes, the entire Profile does get overwritten. Thanks for writing about it in a simpler way than I previously had. My original post(s) on it were a little confusing. Lol. I do not have a way with words.

How do you up vote a bug report? At least on an iPhone I mean.

When I log in I am able to click on the + or minus mark but I can't tell if anything happens.

I don't remember being so unsure on this last year.

Yeah, get an Android! [emoji14] lol j/k bro... Obviously, I don't know but just wanted to take the opportunity to mess.

Can you switch between mobile & desktop version on your iPhone, maybe?

Android user, huh? You must be plugged into to the wall because otherwise it wouldn't have had enough battery life to make that post.

Happens on PS3 version too - and in DD games too (year always shows as '14 though, mine wasn't Y2Y). Happens in ST games in chise & RTTS and its been in since '13. Already reported it earlier on the PS3 side - http://theshownation.com/bug_reports/11767

Pass me the info and I'll add it to mine or go ahead and reference mine when you do.

Zito played in 2013, but semi-retired in 2014 and didn’t play. He decided to make a comeback in 2015, but isn’t on the disc for 2015 because he wasn’t approved due to the fact that he didn’t play in 2014. The list below are players that played in 2013, but not in 2014 and that’s why they weren't approved. Those players on that list who did play in 2014 didn't make the disc because they actually retired. The MLBPA says that if we have approval for a player and they retire, they are now not approved. Hope this clears things up.

                            Russell,

What would happen if you put Zito and other players like him who were not approved into the game? Would SCEA be fined?

Well fellas I advanced to the regular season and the error did not appear. When you make the call to the pen, the reliever stats says 2015. I have not played the spring training games in years, so I cool with it knowing it corrects itself. Still needs to rectified!
