I think with the Rockies you have more pieces to move and would be able to fill out the Rotation a bit more, but that would mean you might have to move Arenado or Dickerson but you could get a young prospect and develop him. I think there is a real possibility to compete with the Rockies.

Think it'll be btwn Rangers, Rockies, Cubs and Yankees for me.
Does anybody else feel like PNC Park looks somewhat cartoony compared to most other stadiums in the game??Spending time with Jesus!

I don't think PNC looks cartoony but they failed miserably in matching the grass colour. In fact it looks like they forgot to update the Pirates grass.Comment

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
For those considering the Cubs: remember that there is the foul ball "invisible wall" bug at Wrigley at the moment (other threads here have discussed it in detail)
That didn't stop me from starting an OSFM Cubs franchise a couple days ago. So far in 5 games played at Wrigley I've only seen the bug 1 time.Comment

I'm not good at hitting in this game, so I love how stacked the lineup is. I figured I can move Dickerson and hopefully get a big SP (like a Hamels), especially with Dahl in the minors waiting to move up. They have 3 or 4 B SP prospects too that should contribute soon. Looking forward to it!Comment

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
Im having a really tough time too, since OSFM came out. I feel like theres so many teams to play with!
I love the marlins my hometown and every time I watch them I wanna play with them, but I always rather play with other teams.
I tried the pirates and they are fun with nice uniforms and stadium, the outfielders are great and love josh harrison, but im still not sure
Ive been waiting for mlb 15 to play with cubs and all their prospects. I love to get young teams with prospects. theyre are perfect. but now not so sure
The Rockies seem great too the more i read. im also interested in the padres.Comment

Doing one with the Milwaukee Brewers as they are my home team. And i want to make up for that god awful, terrible, disrespectful, abysmal, and just plain absurd collapse. Also thinking of doing one with the Marlins and Padres as i like the NL way better.~it puts the lotion in the basket~

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
Thinking of doing a baseball dynasty tired for the first time, but as usual I'm having a little trouble pulling the trigger on who I want to be, I've got it down to:
Phillies - I'm a diehard Phils fan and normally this would be a no brainer, but there are already a couple of Phils dynasties going, so Im looking elsewhere.
Indians- got a nice young club in a great division, farm system is good too.
Royals - Make the Series and still get no respect, good story to tell here.
Orioles - I love the AL East, and the O's are the perpetual underdogs.
Reds - good solid pieces to build around, or trade. Another classic MLB division.
Athletics - Philly connection, great uniforms, and one hell of a challenge.Comment

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
I'll give another nod to the Marlins. I'm obviously slightly biased as a fish fan, but they are a pretty fun team to play with. Alot of good young talent, decent uniforms, awesome ball park. Oh yeah, and a dude named Stanton :PYes I have 3 favorite baseball teams :P
Red Sox
Brewers
Marlins.....Fear the Fish!!!!!Comment

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
Ok. Using OSFM rosters the Cubs have 6 A potential players under 25. Not a challenge. Ship of Castro for a nice return and BAM you got a contender. I'm using the Astros. Dry Farm minus the STUD SS in Class A. You have Altuve at 2nd and that's about it. Good solid rebuild there.Build The Monster
T-Wolves, Colts, & Cards (STL)
