Agree on all above. How do you guys handle playing at The Trop when there are more "fun" stadiums around the league?

I like the Trop in game to be honest, think its really well done by scea (with current gen lightning!!) and pretty unique in the league. Last year I started a franchise with the Rays and this year I considered to do another COS of Tropicana Field. I have played in outdoor stadiums all my virtual baseball life..

Fun division with a bunch of competitive teams. Live their uni's like you said. The O.co is really nice actually and speedy corners helps you chase down a lot of fly balls for outs. Good young solid core to build around

Only problem I have is I'm terrible at hitting so might struggle with them but I love pitching and their staff is great. I keep going back to the A's or Blue Jays and cannot decide!

I have give the A's some thought but in the end I didnt go for them cos it would just have felt unrealistic if I went after a big free agent in the offseason cos the A's never do it in real life.

It's tough this year there are so many teams that are fun. Does anyone else have this problem where you pick a team then a few days later you get bored and go with another team? I can't seem to stay locked to one team. Any ideas?

That's me right now, I might just play season mode and choose two teams and play 82 games... First I want to play with the Mets, then the Rockies then the Pirates, I keep going back and forth. I might end up picking one team in the NL and one in the AL and play a 82 game season

I thought about doing 2 teams but I really like focusing on 1. I'm leaning towards doing a Mariners franchise but I'm not sure. I don't really care about farm systems. I like playing with poor teams and being underdogs but I'm not sure who those teams are this year.

                        Padres.

Solid rotation (Shields, Cashner, Ross, Kennedy, Morrow or Despaigne). Plus you have the pitchers making return from TJ surgery (Josh Johnson, Cory Luebke, Casey Kelly).

Good Bullpen depth + The best closer in baseball.
Kimbrel, Benoit, Thayer, Quackenbush, Vincent, Mauerer, Kelley, plus other options of Kennedy/Despaigne, Rearick, Garces, Mazzoni.

Solid OF of Upton, Myers, Kemp. Plus you can choose to resign Upton or let him walk and let top prospects such as Hunter Renfroe and Rymer Liriano take over.

Still challenges to upgrade at SS and 2B, 1B as well if you want.

                        Great ballpark in Petco.

Choices in the future with Derek Norris vs Austin Hedges. Can even choose to move DNO to 1B if you want.

Plus you can make as many moves as you want during the regular season and it would be realistic for what Preller has done haha

Plus in a very hard division with LA and SF

They were my early favorite, but i decided not to use them. Most of all cos I simmed ahead a season and it just got too easy. Almost all players would progress significantly. Also they will have a lot of budget room in the offseason after year one so you can improve the team further with some big time free agents. Just didn't see the challange. I don't think their Ballpark is that amazing either.
All in all I still see them as a good choice but there are more fun teams for me personally at least (as I went with the Rangers and Cubs).

Edit: I also considered the Padres. But didn't take them cos for an at times struggeling hitter like me they lacked a bit of Power, at the same time the rotation isn't exactly great in the game e.g lacking a true top shelf ace. Also they have with Kemp and Shields at least 2 players on terrible long term contracts. Anyways also they are a good choice and a very fun team to play, just not the very best for me personally.

Narrowed down between Astros and Padres. Any suggestions?

I'm interested in the Padres also, big fan of Yonder Alonso. Plus petco park is beautiful. But I'm also interested in the Reds and the Angels. I really want to make a decision by tomorrow.
