The two times i've seen it were on

      Hall of Fame
Once the sliders were default, the other time was an early Version of TNK Sliders (Don't think the sliders for bunting were touched though)
      No quick counts

Re: Okay, we need to talk about AI suicide squeezes

I fell victim to it twice in my MoM games pre-patch and I was seeing it happen a lot also pre-patch in the CPU vs CPU games. It is important to note that a lot of those games were with Quick Counts turned off. I don't think the problem persists too often with Quick Counts enabled, hence why some Quick Counts players say they've never seen it happen to them.

Post patch, it has not happened to me yet, but I have also not been in the situation late in the game or in extra innings where the CPU opponent needed a run and they had a base runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs. If I do find myself in this scenario, I vowed to bring my 1B and 3B in and will even try a pitch out, but I am not convinced a pitch out will work in a MoM game because pre-patch I witnessed a pitch out in a CPU vs CPU game and the catcher just held on to the ball not applying the tag ... game over ... it was nuts. Anyway time will tell, I have seen it in post-patch CPU vs CPU games, but it has not happened nearly as many times as it was occurring pre-patch.

Re: Okay, we need to talk about AI suicide squeezes

I play without using quick counts and had the computer one time squeeze two consecutive batters. Both with less than two outs and second and third with the number 4 and 5 hitters up. This was against the Red Sox.

Seems to have to be late game situation 8th inning or later and game tied or within one run.

Happened to me yesterday... I was like WTF? So caught off guard I had him but accidentally moved and missed the tag

I have only seen a couple of them and neither resulted in a run. However they were both executed by power hitters in the 3 and 4 spots of the lineup.... I don't mind them happening but c'mon now I highly doubt a coach would have his top power hitter even attempt a bunt let alone find that he could execute the worlds nicest bunt lol.

Happened to me yesterday in DD, bases loaded with Evan Longoria at bat... yeah... of course it worked. Pissed me off because I lost.

I play on All-Star with an OS user's custom sliders set no quick counts. It used to happen fairly often to me. Maybe five times a month (that is often compared to real life).

Simple sollution pay attention to base runners. Just check them back, at least look them back. I never side step with runners on third but everything else I do. It occurs more if infield is playing in. (which is weird). Since I pay attention to runners, have not have it happen in the last 60 or so games. Steals and attempts against me are way down also.

As others mentioned first time I know of in The Show when we have to watch the run game. I like it that I need to look runners back. If you see them take a lead pick them off. I am loving all the cat and mouse stuff this year.

I see this a lot too. Probably about 5 thus far in my ~20 franchise mode games played. Too often. Can't say it bothers me though. The only thing that bothers me is the success rate, which is too high.

I saw it twice and the situation was appropriate and I got them back later in the game.

It's not suicide squeeze, but I just watched a game where Revere and Blanco of PHI bunted safely, consecutively in the bot 9th to load the bases... (Utley eventually singled the winning run.)

I'm also noticing that the defense often doesn't seem to be alert on those successful bunt plays... even when a sacrifice bunt attempt is unsuccessful earlier, the defense doesn't do bunt shift.

That would also contributes to a high success rate.

Yeah I'm wondering how many people are moving their defense into a position to protect against the bunt/squeeze.

I'm not seeing the issue in all honesty.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I am 59...I have been watching baseball since 1960...scary numbers I know. I have never seen a suicide squeeze attempted twice in a row in a real MLB game. I have never seen it...does not mean it has not happened. Billy Martin probably used it when managing the A's...I don't know.

However, I am seeing this behavior in MLB15 more than what appears to be a normal range. I think they need to revisit the logic of man on third less than 2 outs in a close game and tone it down. Squeeze plays are very rare in MLB. In the Show, they can happen a few times a week against you. It probably has something to do with your def positioning but still...

Another big issue I see is two strike bunts that go foul are not strikeouts. In a CPU vs CPU game, I saw James Shields get three consecutive two strike bunts that went foul but he didn't strike out. That was followed with a successful bunt that allowed baserunners to 2nd and 3rd, followed by a sac fly, which ended up being the go ahead run.
