It happens to me every few games.

    It's never botched.

Wow that's crazy. I can never bunt a ball that's not a strike. No matter who it is. Just faced aj Pollock bunted 6 times in 2 games.

I had it happen twice in one game against the Blue Jays. Have played about 15 games since then and haven't seen it again.

LOL that's incredible. Something like that would make me sell the game altogether.

Funny enough, I came in here to vent after giving up a 1 run lead thanks to two perfect suicide squeeze bunts by the CPU. But that video you posted takes the cake lol

This has happened to me a lot as well and yet I'm always surprised. They've even attempted it with 2 outs before!

1 out, bases loaded in the 8th in a tied game

David Ortiz is up and drops a perfectly executed suicide squeeze to give the AI the lead

The same view is not interesting, so I even switched around the view this time... some focus and blurring for dramatic effect as well.

Exactly this has been happening few times now. most recently against the Orioles, first a bunt to tie the game, then Adam Jones bunted for the go ahead run. Rage quit.

Re: Okay, we need to talk about AI suicide squeezes

The problem isn't just with the frequency of the squeeze, it's that the CPU drops a PERFECT bunt nearly every time they do it.

Last night, I was playing against the Indians. 1-0 lead in the 8th. They had bases loaded and nobody out. I was ready for the squeeze, so I threw to 3rd once (who does that in real life--nobody, but I digress). The next pitch I throw a fastball up and in, sure enough, it's a squeeze, perfectly bunted so that I can't even get the runner at first.

Tie game, bases still loaded, nobody out.

The next hitter does it again, another squeeze! I at least get the out at first, Indians lead 2-1, one out, runners on second and third.

You'll never guess what the next guy did...that's right, squeeze play. I was ready for it, I tried to throw a "ball" (which I did, but apparently you have to throw the thing 45 feet above his head to work), but he laid down another one, perfectly up the first base line. Runner scores, but I did get the out.

That is 3 consecutive players squeezing. Each one, I tried to do SOMETHING to prevent it (hold runners, throw high, etc). Each one was a freaking PERFECT bunt, one of which I couldn't even get an out on, and the other 2 were close plays. I cannot recall specifically who was bunting, but I know it wasn't the bottom of the order or Michael Bourne.

                    Frustrating.

It's still happening to me in close games. It's definitely a glitch that needs to be fixed because it's beyond unrealistic. I wish there was a slider for it. Then, we can fix it ourselves.

In my road to the show, Giancarlo Stanton bunted in the first inning of a scoreless game with nobody on base and it was the all-star game.

I'd say something is off with that.

Nobody seems to put be to put a finger on what is triggering it. Not everyone is seeing the issue. I have seen in over 100 games maybe 1 or 2 suicide squeezes. I know of one for sure.

But what people are referencing in videos I have yet to see.

After hearing all these stories, I get into similar situations as to what people are describing and it doesn't happen.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
