I was merely suggesting the computer gets a bit too aggressive and efficient in the later innings when they're down.Comment

Your passive aggressive behavior is getting old.
Veiled insults and condescending remarks and then crying victim and labeling everyone as insulting is laughable.

To those trying to understand late game comebacks: The devs have stated this is not in the code. If you want to claim this, you will need to show video (which is fairly easy with the PS4's video sharing capability).
To those opposing this: Be respectful. Snark makes you look worse than most of the trolls we've banned on these boards. If you can't be constructive and try to help with possible baseball strategy or reasoning people may be seeing this, then move on.Comment

So when you stated that the only way the devs could have this game generate offense was to cheat the user.....that wasn't insulting ...and you somehow found that constructive?

Re: With all they've tweaked with gameplay, there's still so much more they didn't...
I'm sorry but you're comment is extremely vague is wide open to speculation.
The reason I question is I just finished a series with the Cubs in which I came back from 2 runs down in Game 1 of the series and then proceeded to beat them 11-2 and 8-0 in the other two games. At no time they seem to gain an unfair advantage. In both of those games, I scored early and so did the Cubs. In Game 2 they were tied at 2-2 after 4 and then I scored 5 in the 5th, 1 in the 7th and 1 in the 8th. In Game 3 I was up 8-0 after 4 innings and didn't score again.
So if these types of games can happen, then the cpu isn't always getting some unfair advantage. There would be something that has to trigger it, if there is indeed a code that triggers for the cpu to gain an unfair advantage or receive a boost as you have suggested.
I am not trying to attack you or anything, but if you are seriously concerned that there is some sort of code that allows the cpu to gain a boost or unfair advantage, you cannot make blanket statements as you have as they will not help accomplish anything.Last edited by countryboy; 05-16-2015, 05:03 PM.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

This game needs the biggest attention to defense and most of all its game off the field. NBA 2k15 is beautiful both on and off the playing surface, and I'd love to see the Show head in that direction for franchise mode.
Love the game, but doesn't feel as alive as NBA 2K15.@MikeLowe47 | YouTube | Discord

Re: With all they've tweaked with gameplay, there's still so much more they didn't...
In my Nationals franchise over the last 17 games, my closer (Storen) has 6 saves. All of them were leads of 2 runs or less, carried over from no later than the 7 inning. So in other words, I really am not seeing anything even closely resembling what you are talking about. In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: With all they've tweaked with gameplay, there's still so much more they didn't...
If you frame the issues in more constructive manner instead of attributing whatever you see in late innings to some sort of (non-existing) rubber-band mechanisms, then I think there will be more meaningful outcomes.
I would love to chime in constructively on discussions of that sort of thing (I also know some devs actually benefit from useful user feedback on those topics), but once we start discussing those things in OS, there always will be people like you who attribute whatever quirkiness that the game has to non-existing mechanisms and ruin discussions.
At this point, I honestly have no idea why you feel that accusing the game, developers, and fellow gamers of "ganging up on people like you" accomplishes anything.
I'm sure you are grouping myself into the group ganging up on you, but I'm sincerely perplexed as to why you feel insisting on non-existing rubber-band mechanisms would accomplish anything at this point.Comment

Re: With all they've tweaked with gameplay, there's still so much more they didn't...
You keep saying keep it constructive...but we've all been playing this game for years and the things you are saying just aren't true. So there's not that much to say other than that you're wrong. And I really don't mean that in an offensive way, I just don't understand what you're looking for. If you're having an issue that tons of other people aren't having, you might be the problem.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

And for further explanation on what I stated: Users should be constructive in both their responses and open too information from said responses.
Padgoi - I know you've championed this cause for years. I am now asking you to show evidence of said issues. Start streaming and archiving so that we can possibly help you with what you are experiencing. This goes for anyone else that may be experiencing the issues PAD is.
As for the other side of this argument - please remember the last time you were frustrated with something you possibly didn't understand, or believed something no one else did. Constructive and respectful posting is essential to learning. Use it. Make this forum one if education for baseball and The Show.Last edited by Millennium; 05-16-2015, 05:11 PM.Comment

Re: With all they've tweaked with gameplay, there's still so much more they didn't...
Well, I have to leave for work soon so unfortunately I can't wait for that answer.
I truly believe difficulty level is at the heart of the OP's problem, for many years. I too experience what I would consider "unfairness" from the CPU when trying to play at HOF or Legend, if I'm trying to play normally (not max-efforting every pitch, I mean). I've posted examples of that, such as a 5-contact rated pitcher hitting a ball barely off dirt-level for a base hit. I can win single games at those levels, but over the course of a long stretch of games the clear advantage the CPU has in ability shows itself. But....this happens for the entire game, not just the late innings. I can give up 10 runs in the 1st on HOF just as easily as I can in the 8th or 9th. The legitimate reasons for the CPU late-inning rallies have been done to death on this board so I'm not going through that again, but on HOF with its increased ability to track patterns and place the PCI, the rallies get more prevalent and crazy.
I really believe that if the OP would just drop to All-Star and maybe adjust some sliders to the CPU's favor if need be, the feeling of the CPU raillies would not completely overwhelm his enjoyment of the game.Comment
