This is just one instance the cpu does not score like this all the time but plays similar to ones in the video pile up and result in runs for the cpu. Moustakas could have easily fielded that bunt with his glove the runner was not even halfway down the line by the time he reached for it. I have no words for that "passed ball." On Heyward's hit the cpu base runner is rounding 3rd by the time I release the ball at short. He was halfway to the dugout by the time I got the ball home even if Hosmer had thrown home quickly he still would have been safe. Regardless, the passed ball the play before allowed that play to happen. If that guy stays at first and Escobar makes that play I had an easy out at second. I think what would be a really nice addition to this game would be a cpu aggressiveness slider, the cpu doesn't always need to be going 100%.
I just had this happen to me tonight, where my out fielder got caught in a animation resulting in aerror while I was still pressing forward to reach the ball. I never upload a video before so if this doesn't work I apologize.

Re: Official "Wonky Logic" Thread
1. That animation was your fault, no offense. You didn't get to the spot the ball was landing. The game began an animation to try and catch the ball, but you were too far away, resulting in the error. The animation isn't your fault, it's just a very poor animation that SCEA hasn't accepted as being a problem. But the fact remains that you were in the wrong spot to catch the ball and it's still just a video game, so issues like this will occur from time to time.
P.A.D. I appreciate your input on the matter, however that animation triggered while I was still pressing right on the thumb stick to get to the ball, the outfielder had plenty of time to get to the ball, he just stop and went into the animation on its own. I would consider that a wonky error, since the fielder ran and got into that spot he started an animation on its own while I was still inputting a command. if anything the outfielder should of over ran the ball.
edit: probably should of mention too, that I had edited bourjos fielding and speed set to a 95 and have my outfield error slider set to 2, I have no problem with the animation itself, its actually a good looking animation imo, seen plenty of ball players do that little move when they don't get to the ball. just this particular situation I don't think that animation should have triggered.Last edited by ryanmc564; 06-05-2015, 03:06 PM.Comment

Re: Official "Wonky Logic" Thread
Seriously though, the fielding animations in this game are the epitome of "wonky logic" if you ask me. I hate, hate, hate manual fielding in this game. The CPU has so much of an advantage in that department that it is ridiculous.Comment

Oops, I meant the error was his fault, but not the actual animation. But after his explanation, I'm not so sure anymore.Comment

I have no problems when odd things happen to bad players as it should but it needs to be dialed back a bit or the whole system reworked for next year.Comment

Re: Official "Wonky Logic" Thread
So I had a hard time believing in "Wonky Logic" until today. Maybe this was just the horrible game, being horrible for me at the wrong moments. I was playing a Diamond Dynasty game, pretty clean until about the 6th inning. I was already up 3-0 with 7 hits, and Cole Hamels was pitching great, think he had only allowed 3 or 4 hits. However, Giancarlo Stanton came up (dude was hitting .199 with him, so I hardly showed him respect.) But Giancarlo hit a chopper out of play but the guy could still run with Giancarlo. Batboy seriously picked up the ball, went to sit down and Giancarlo got an Inside the Parker.
So it became 3-1, but the guy wasn't that great so I wasn't worried. Wish I saved the video but I was shocked, and therefore didn't think about it. Nonetheless, can't remember who, but someone got a nice single off of Hamels right after that. Wasn't worried, was probably me. But the next AB, someone, again can't remember who, hit a pop up into shallow right field. Michael Cuddyer caught it, threw it to second and the runner on first was able to run back, and tag up because my guy wouldn't move, or throw it anywhere.
Thank god he hadn't figured it out and continued running, or I think that would've been another run. But again, can't remember who, hit a HR right off Hamels on the next AB. Long story short, game was 3-3 until the bottom 10th, I was on third (Cuddyer) with two outs and Billy Butler was up. Dude threw a wild pitch and I said "**** it" and went home with Cuddyer. Cuddyer isn't that fast, and actually wasn't for the play. But when his pitcher (who was covering home) caught it, he had his pitcher immediately dive, and therefore miss me.
I would've been so pissed if he pulled out the W.Go NATS!

Re: Official "Wonky Logic" Thread
Here's one (it should be noted, I'm playing on Hall of Fame difficulty, which really shouldn't mean anything except it does):
I'm the Yankees, up 6-0 in the fifth inning on the Blue Jays and lighting up Buehrle. Meanwhile, Sabathia is cruising, having given up 2 hits through 4. Top of the 5th, lead-off hitter singles, then another single, then a 3-run homer so it's 6-3. I "managed" to get out of the 5th without any further damage. In the bottom of the 5th, I had a runner on third with 1 out but failed to get him home because I popped out (happens ENTIRELY too often with runners on third and less than 2 outs) and at that point I could smell something going on.
Top of the 6th, I bring in Carpenter who had started warming up in the previous half inning. I also had Wilson ready in case I got into trouble. Carpenter walks the first batter on a 3-2 pitch that I aimed right down the middle, but it ends up outside by at least 6 inches. Next batter, first pitch double into the right centerfield gap, scoring the run and making it 6-4. I do a mound visit to relax my pitcher. First pitch next at bat, guy hits it to the EXACT same location of the previous batter (even though it was an inside fastball to a righty), resulting in an RBI triple and a 6-5 game. That's it for Carpenter, so I bring in Wilson. Next batter hits a sac fly to tie it at 6. One batter later, Dioner Navarro jack and I'm down 7-6. So they score 7 unanswered runs while making 5 outs to take the lead. Expletives were then thrown at the television. I ended up losing 7-6..

Re: Official "Wonky Logic" Thread
I don't believe in boots for the cpu late in games or even a comeback code but still I keep seeing a lot of weird things happening on the field, the corner infielder letting the pass by them with and odd animation, tons of hits ending up right at pitcher or way too many double plays..Attached Files- 11113800_10205776041494370_1112126358845050521_o.jpg (295.2 KB, 51 views)
