I used to get picked off alot prior to the last patch, but now I can take a lead without it being an automatic out. My biggest issue is I had a runner with 84 speed in one game get caught twice, but my 74 speed runner made it with room to spare.

Probably because your 74 guy had a higher base stealing rating than your 84 guy did. The higher that is, the better their timing is, thus creating a quicker jump off the bag. Also, their base aggressiveness rating can factor into that too.Last edited by bigd51; 06-30-2015, 08:02 PM.Comment

I would like to see them add an on field team celebration when a team clinches the division or a playoff birth.
Also some kind of Pie-ing or "Non-Licensed sports drink" shower during the interview after a walk off win.
Finally, it's not that the pitcher gets hit too much, it's that they don't field their position well enough. If they would turn 80% of the balls that hit the pitcher into being fielded by the pitcher. I don't think there would be as many complaints about pitchers not getting hurt. Also they would need to tune it to where when the pitcher actually did get hit, he would leave the game either right away or within the next inning, to about 75% of the time.

One thing I would like to see is that in Franchise Mode a few players go through an overall boost during the offseason and have a breakout season the following year, and some players overall decrease a lot so that they have poor seasons in the following year.Comment

the home run needs to be re done all the way around. The homerun trot looks off, the crowd reaction feels underwhelming and what constitutes it being a no doubter and triggering the homerun swing animation? I've hit one at least 6 rows deep and my guy books into to first and almost to second an then goes into his weird run with his arms close to his hips.San Jose Sharks

Some items they could add/delete for added immersion:
1) have the catcher, ss or 1B call timeout to talk to the pitcher (stall for time) when a pitcher getting raked
2) lose the animation where pitcher takes off his hat while on the mound (or lessen it greatly)
3) lose the relief pitcher drops glove on way to mound (way overdone)
4) add feet first slides to the game (hook slide, pop up slide)
5) lose the animation where pitcher throws pickoff into the stands
6) make rain a factor in the game (visual and affecting play)
7) continue to tweak the crowd reactions - for homeruns, disputed calls, rallies, etc
8) lose the walking zombie animation directly behind home plate where person walks all the way down then just turns around and walks back up steps (steps also seem out of synch)

4. If I'm understanding you correctly, these are already present. A hook slide can be done pressing down-right on the right stick and a pop-up slide is just pressing down.
6. I really want this as well. Rain games need to look and feel more like rain games. Maybe even some games have the umps call for a rain delay. In fact... how cool would it be if they could have the umps call the game off cause it's raining so bad, then the game ends and is postponed for a later date where you pick up where you left off and finish the game on a different day?Comment

1. Doesn't the catcher do that sometimes? (there's a cut scene about it sometimes) Though it would be nice if it triggered more based on the catcher himself and in more situations. Likewise for the infielders.
4. Yep - funny that the closest thing to a hook slide is the slide where the runner uses his fingertips to grab the base and stay on.
5. Yes, please. Talk about things that are overdone...
6. YES. Right now, all rain does is add some commentary and change the graphics a little. Need rain delays as well if rainouts are just too hard to put in for whatever reason."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Ability for change of position in Franchise. Such as an injured arm catcher loses arm strength a move to 1B would be nice.Rob Frost

Re: What are some 'little things' you would like to see in The Show/
I like the idea there about certain injuries affecting certain stats of a player. Like a bad foot injury to Billy Hamilton leading to a sharp decline in his speed rating. Or like you said, an arm injury to a catcher leading to a sharp decline of his arm strength, and possibly, accuracy as well. The decline amount could vary depending on the type of injury. As it stands now, injuries don't have lasting impacts on players as they do in real life.Comment

I would like to see them add different styles of catching gear for the different brands like Nike, Mizuno, Under Armor, etc. Think it would add an awesome extra detail to the game like they added different brands to gloves and shoes and more this year.Comment
