When editing players, it would be very useful if we could preview the team uniforms on the players instead of the default 'MLB' uniform, especially when it comes to team colors. Right now, I have to guess which team color is which, start a game up, look to see how the team color looks, and go back after the game to change it if I don't like it. Take Madden for example. Editing players will show them in their current team uniform and team colors in regards to equipment.

This is especially confusing with teams such as the Braves. The default 'MLB' uniform team colors is 1-blue and 2-red. For the Braves, it's reverse... 1-red and 2-blue. You can see how confusing this can be when having to remember to reverse the colors you want shown when what's being shown is the opposite of the real team colors.

Isn't "little things we'd like to see" intrinsically tied into things on one's wish-list? Albeit that some things are bit more minor compared to others.

I've seriously never seen either one, but I am on PS3 maybe that's why. Do foul balls hit off batters or just hit the ump/catcher? Like the other guy said it's important to occur at a realistic rate too.

I have to agree as well, your two wants is already in the game. I am on PS3 as well.

Isn't "little things we'd like to see" intrinsically tied into things on one's wish-list? Albeit that some things are bit more minor compared to others.

It was merely an observation, not calling out the thread or anybody in it.

They might be in but they should be happening at a more realistic rate like I said before. How often does a pitch get fouled off a batter in The Show? I hardly see it, in real life I see it 4-5 times a game.

I personally don't see it nearly enough (PS4). I would trade those fouls off the foot for the plethora of choppers in front of the plate where the catcher can basically tag me out with how fast he gets out of the crouch to field the ball. haha

I think the chopper in front of the plate deal happens too much, but that could just be me. I don't know how often they occur in real life, but when I'm playing, they happen a LOT.

The catcher lunging for the ball and quickly throwing to 1st isn't my gripe, though. It's the times where the runner will be halfway to first before the catcher even starts running to pick up the ball. If it didn't happen very often, I could easily see this as a mental lapse on the catcher to try fielding the ball... but it does happen often and results in a safe hit by anyone with 50 or above speed everytime.

Real Individual Team Jerseys during the All Star Game.

Bases Loaded back in the day had individual team jerseys during the All Star game so there is no reason they can't do this on the PS4. I've been waiting for this forever and hope sometime is actually happens.

It would be cool to see catcher's trying to frame pitches. Maybe even make a rating for this.

Another little thing I want is more animations for a catch and throw. I routinely see the CPU catch a ball in the infield or foul territory, casually hold it for a second or two, and then aggressively throw the ball to whatever base. I'm not referring to pre-loading throws I know what those are, but I think a lot of the catch and throw animations need to be cleaned up.

Also more emotion from the players reacting to a big/cool/important play. This can cover a lot of different aspects of the game, I just think there could be more energy with the players.

Bugs, trash, popcorn, cups, etc around the stadium....just a subtle amount of debris would make it feel more lively.

This is actually my biggest pet peeve from baseball IRL. Pitchers aren't allowed to be excited about a big K, batters aren't allowed to be excited about a HR. If they do, they get beaned. Every other sport celebrates scores and good plays except baseball. One more thing I wouldn't mind seeing in the game, the ability to charge the mound.

I think that's more of an MLB thing than an SCEA thing. Even games where that did happen you never actually saw what happened. It was in the old slugfest games.

Bases Loaded? I'm sure it didn't take a ton of space to include a different color and a line on the jersey for all the different teams. Meanwhile, The Show's jerseys are authentic, has wrinkles, waves in the wind. It's not some 2D sprite that doesn't take up a ton of memory. I would much rather have smooth gameplay than all the different jerseys for an exhibition game that I skip in-season anyway. That last bit is opinion, of course.

The thing that is miles ahead of anything else at the top of my list, is cut way down on the pitchers getting hit with line drives, and when it does happen, if they're not injured they should at least come out of that game. I see a pitcher hit with a line drive at the very least every other game. Whenever this happens in real life the pitcher is down on the ground, and is usually taken out.

I love these arguments.

How many different stadiums did Bases Loaded have? How many different teams? How many different authentic uniforms?

Your talking apples and oranges here. Two completely different games on two completely different consoles.

And they gave their reason, it slows the framerate down. They've tried to make it work and it just doesn't.
