Does your team NOT lead MLB in GIDP?

For years now, when playing every game, my team always leads MLB in GIDP.

I'm curious to hear the experience from others because I'm strongly believing it to be a bit ridiculous.

    Thanks!

The last time I checked no. I was in the top 5 but not leading it.

I'm currently in the Top 5 for the fewest.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Thanks, guys! I'm thinking perhaps I just make too much contact, solid and low in the zone?

It seems this is something that always happens with my teams.

          Are you using the Tigers?

I just finished playing all 163 games (1 tiebreaker game) and I had a 170 GIDP, 28 more than the next closest team. I'm not sure what the record is but I had to be pretty close. It's also unrealistic on the other end, the low was 69.

I also lead the league. I'm in the 2nd week of September with the Padres and have hit into 126 double plays. I play every game and I just hit into 6 in my last game!!

The next closest team has hit into 108.

Record is 174 in 1990 by Boston.

Well that record was broken by my 2015 Yanks. During the reg season, hit into 190. Played every game btw. So far this season I've hit into 11 in 10 games. This is where I think using button/directional hinders the user. Didn't matter up in the zone, down in the zone, good timing, bad timing, I could count on at least 1DP a game minimum. Using zone and being able to place the PCI probably helps that issue to some degree.

I'm only 29th out of 30 finally - 72 GIDP in 86 games - but it's taken some effort. Probably has something to do with being 100 stolen bases in front of the second-place team since most of the time I get a guy on first with one or no outs I run.

Zone batting helps maybe but it's still difficult to avoid since they seem to groove strikes low in the zone and I either strike out looking or hit a hard grounder - I can never seem to foul off pitches down in the zone.

This has always been a huge issue in The Show series to me. I play the first and last game of the series. So far I've played 33 games and simmed 20. I'm not last but I'm 29th with 39gidp. If I played every game I'd be last by a lot!

I looked and counted only 10gidp in those 20 simmed games. So in 33 games played I've hit into 29 double plays. This has always bothered me about this game.

I'm leading the league in grounding into double plays. 5 ahead of the next closest team about half way through the season. Like this every year for me. It's gotten to the point that when I get a man on first and less than two out I'm looking to steal if I have a fast player on first or to bunt the player over.

                            Been a problem for years.

I am in 3rd technically due to ties in 1st and 2nd in my MLB 14 franchise. I have into 3. Ironically the Tigers are in dead last with 11.
