The worst timing possible, with the worst contact possible, on a batted ball, should consistently put the ball into the seats in foul territory, either way off on the side, or directly behind you. In The Show, it does not.

You can see this for yourself, the GIDPs go way down when you crank up Foul Frequency sliders, OR when you reduce the Contact OR Timing sliders.

They should also go down some when you increase the difficulty level.
That's interesting, Bob. Would you mind checking out my sliders and seeing what you feel may be causing the most issues?

I have a set where I have 10 Foul Frequency with 5 Timing and Contact, and still see a lot.

How much lower do I need to go on those Contact/Timing, especially on Directional hitting? Sounds like I'd be trading less grounders for more Ks when I want less grounders for more flyballs...

I mean, Stanton should not be hitting 50%+ of his balls on the ground...meanwhile Yelich SHOULD be (he's near 70%) - yet neither happens...

I agree that we need to see actual variety in flyball and groundball percentages.

          Sure.

May I ask where you have Solid Hits/Power in that same set?

Also sorry, I play with Zone and sometimes I forget that other options exist I wouldn't recommend lowering Contact on Directional hitting, you would definitely be getting more K's, as you suggested. Lowering Timing should be safe though.

Solid Hits is at 4 (I've run the gamut trying to get a realistic line drive rate along with less flyballs without jacking up/killing BABIP and getting too many infield flies)

Power is at 10 (love high power on both sides - swear it makes the ball physics play/look better and helps weak hits at least be cans of corn to medium outfield)

I've been "struggling" with this for about the last two years. It seems more times than not when you have a guy on first and square up the ball, it's going right to the 2b or SS. But any other time you square up a ball, it's a deep fly out or a line drive caught by someone. Which is another issue, which ties into the greater issue...

              Hit variety..there is none.
