Check out the fielding camera in Pro Yakyuu spirits 2012 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1N8twfmBV5k

It's basically a broadcast cam, but the camera doesn't shift to straight-on for balls down the line.

Can you cut to a different camera as soon as the ball leaves the camera view, or slightly before (that's what happens on MLB broadcasts)

need one high enough to see hrs clear the green monster.
like blimp view but not that far away. one thst just views the whole field after in play and doesnt need any scrolling or panning away.

Doesn't broadcast do that? I thought I remember setting the HR Derby in-play cam to broadcast at Fenway once and the camera panning out high enough to see the ball clear... albeit, I don't recall it showing the whole field, though, if that's what you're mainly shooting for.

i would like to see a better outfielder view when playing RTTS, right now, IMO, you are too close to your player that high balls or ones that may clear the yard you dont see or know if/when to jump and catch the ball.

for example. i have a Center Fielder as one of my RTTS player, and when someone hits a ball that is JUST about to clear the fence, its way too difficult to know when to jump and rob the homer.

              Re: Fielding Camera's

I mainly would like to see a camera with some AI behind it, so that it framed the shot better.

Maybe this could be done by setting tags/markers on things like: fielders, bases, the ball, points on or above the outfield wall, etc. Then have the camera keep all those things in the picture. This would solve the problem of stadiums with unusual features like The Green Monster at Fenway.

From there you could adjust the camera's tilt and angle, as well as zoom, based on what type of hit it was (grounder, high fly ball, etc.).

Like I say, would be great to see a camera that seemed more human than robotic. To do that it needs to take into consideration what is in the camera frame and what is not. So tell the camera what to keep in the picture, and what angle to have, etc.

Wouldn't be all that hard, and would be well worth it in my opinion.

I would love to play RTTS where when fielding I can pick any camera as I could when playing franchise. I like seeing the front of the fielder instead of the back but zoomed out a bit like franchise mode

Would be cool too to see such a camera angle eliminate all the TV broadcast elements, the cutaways and so forth, and just have it be a single solitary real time camera. I know a few versions ago this game had an option like that, maybe this could be an opportunity to bring that back, call it something "At the Ballpark" camera angle.

Gah, I was thinking hitting camera and not fielding camera. I think the dynamic fielding camera already compensates for Fenway. In fact I think dynamic hitting does too, but I never use that one.

I use medium for both hitting and fielding, just for consistency. I'd gladly welcome another camera angle that improved upon the standard medium/high, and that was usable for both hitting and fielding.

Again, I think the "at the park" camera would be a welcome return, especially if it was an all purpose type of camera good for both hitting and fielding.

                      Re: Fielding Camera's

When outfielding in RTTS a view from your player that actually looks up and tracks the ball (without having to hold a button or the other stick to look). Not the arrow that shows you were the ball wont be as its coming in. Any view trying to field the ball currently is horrible.

Please add the camera that is shown from press box...love to see that view especially for manage only mode or when watching cpu vs cpu.

PS: by the way, I think the Medium view cam for defense is even a more realistic camera view than Broadcast. The players seemed scaled a bit better on Medium view...field looks bigger and players scaled to right size.

Custom cam like MLB 2K. Where we could control sub settings for Medium, High, Dynamic (Height and Zoom.

                              Re: Fielding Camera's

For the most part, the cameras in this game are very good. I like to play on the broadcast view as I like my game to emulate television as close as possible. With that said I have some requests regarding the cameras for next years iteration.

*Stadiums with high walls - Any stadium with a high wall (Fenway, Camden, etc) needs to have the camera zoom out a little if a ball is hit at the wall or just over it. I play in Fenway quite often as I'm a huge Red Sox fan and anytime I hit a homerun over the monster, all I see is the opposing (AI) fielder give up at the wall. This kind of kills the anticipation and lets you know it's gone. I'd love for the camera to zoom out and keep the fielder and the ball in view for both a homerun and a ball off the wall... or even a ball to the warning track.

*Bat Flip Camera - Please get rid of this or make it an option to turn it on or off again. I don't know how many others hate to see this view on a homer but it takes a great looking game and makes it look cheesy, IMO. If I'm playing on broadcast, I don't want to see this homerun camera because you'd never see it on a real broadcast, in real time, at least.
Also, the bat flip camera on foul balls... please don't have that show on broadcast presentation either.

*Better logic for homerun camera - The homerun camera for balls that are crushed where the camera zooms out and you can see the outfielders giving up needs better logic. I've hit some no doubters that haven't triggered the camera.

The bat-flip camera... are you referring to the angle that's field level behind the batters box to the side? I actually like that angle, honestly. I know it's not realistic, but for some reason, to me, I always enjoy watching it when it triggers.

As for the better logic thing, that could have something to do with your sliders. No doubters are triggered by timing+how solid you made contact with the ball, I think. So let's say you raise the power slider, it can make balls go further without actually making solid contact with the ball, which will consequently not trigger the no doubt camera. For example, a wall-scraper without making solid contact at default power could travel further into the stands at max power without making solid contact. Of course, I could be wrong.
