I take it you didn't play 15...

Either that, or you've been taking a **** load of power swings.

I have 15, I played it yesterday, and I used the joystick to swing the bat. I have a feeling we are talking about different things.

I took his comment to mean that the only way to hit a pitch in 2016's game will be by pressing a swing button.

I took his comment to mean that the only way to hit a pitch in 2016's game will be by pressing a swing button.

Yeah he's talking about the fact they took out the stride (pushing down on the R stick) before pushing up to make the actual swing.
This was the (analog) procedure to swing in 14 and in 15 they changed it to only pushing up (cpu does the stride for you).

In 15 you have 3 options with the stick.
1. Push up for normal swing
2. Push left/right for contact swing
3. Press down (stride) and up for power swing.

Press the touchpad when you are in the franchise you want to add money to. The option is in there.

Yeah he's talking about the fact they took out the stride (pushing down on the R stick) before pushing up to make the actual swing.

The only thing that is concerning to me is waiting until the end to reveal changes to franchise mode. It was promised one of the main focuses of development for this year would be an overhaul on career stat tracking. If this is largely improved, I would think the team would be more eager to show it off and use it as a selling point instead of waiting to reveal it a week before the game releases.

In RTTS, Im in like the year 2023 and I'm hitting .375 in late May. But before I got my player extremely good, I was about .270s or so.

This reminds me of an interview I saw once with Mickey Mantle in which he was asked whether he ever went to the plate to try and hit a home run. He said yes, every time he swung the bat.
