Open up my packs and most likely be thoroughly disappointed with the results.

Same. I ordered Digital Deluxe and I'm getting a lot of packs, but I know better than to expect anything great in standard packs. Maybe a couple silvers and a gold will be considered a success just to build a base DD team

Once midnight comes I'm probably just gonna open my packs and then get to work on my uniforms and logo. Amped to get these online franchises started in the morning too!!

Every year all I do is check the player faces and batting stances if they got new ones first lol then check out the stadiums!

I didn't follow the MLB FA signings this off-season, so breezing through the rosters is my first step. I'll check for new player equipment and things like that. Then its off to exhibition. I play one game with each team @ home so I can appreciate all 30 stadiums and teams alike. Then with my settings fine tuned, I head into Franchise mode and attempt to take the Milwaukee Brewers to glory! Wish me luck...

Usually what I do is look at the rosters that came with the game and make sure that all of the team's players are in the game. I also make sure there are player portraits in the game for each player. I hate when I don't see a portrait for a big name player.

I know I said I will do my transfers (my franchise files and my classic seasons files).....but after that is done.

1) Play some exhibition games in some classic stadiums to check those out!

2) Get a feel for the game in general, browse the menu's, hit Diamond Dynasty to get that rolling as I loved it on MLB 15.

3) Hone in on any slider adjustments I need to make (All-Star....always All-Star for me) as last season they were minor in nature and I expect the same thing. This is by far the easiest sports game to tweak sliders with. Literally takes me 15-20 games to lock in my settings. It's a joy.

4) And get playing. Between my carry over Franchise (1987 Year 2), Diamond Dynasty and playing classic seasons....I will be set. My son will start a brand new franchise as well with the SCEA stock rosters. He does not care about full minors....he just wants to dive in and get going.

Do the sliders really make a difference in The Show? I always thought nothing major changed when going from Veteran to All Star.

The sliders in this game are awesome and it's clear they work. So yes if you alter sliders you will notice a difference.

I won't be popping in MLB 16 The Show at all. I'll be all futuristic with my sweet sweet digital copy.

That's why I'm so excited to finally have a Jay on the cover. Digital copies always have the US cover, so after a year of Cabrera (deserved) and a year of Puig (thpppt) looking forward to a year of Donaldson. Definitely going to take a moment and admire that cover hovering on my PSN dashboard before firing up the game.

After playing NHL and it's "Is this actually doing anything?" slider gameplay, The Show was a welcome change.

As for me, when I eventually get The Show, I'll likely cry at my poor Brewers roster. We're going to need so much time...
