In franchise mode is the weather the same for every game?
I am 11 games into a franchise and every game is sunny and clear.

It was no longer random. You change it manually.

Just close your eyes while selecting the weather and it will be random again. Someone posted that awhile back, simple solution!

In the first video where Ramone broke down the one trailer he mentioned the roof in Toronto being open/closed in franchise is based on the weather so hopefully he means it's random or based on time of year.

There is confusion on that. I tweeted Ramone and asked him if they could give us the option in franchise to play with the roof opened or closed, and he said it was already in the game. But the day before someone tweeted @MLBTHESHOW and they told them then it would be automatically decided for you. I also heard them say in the twitch stream that we would have the option, but your right in the first video Ramone said it would be decided for you. Personally, I want to be able to choose.

I prefer to choose as well. With it being random it could go a bunch of different ways. I do like the randomness though as well.

EXAMPLE: The Dbacks keep the roof closed pretty much all summer due to the heat so I'm hoping with it being closed randomly hopefully when it's 107 in AZ the roof will be closed.

Yeah I remember seeing that on twitter too, maybe it's meant it's on option to open/close in most modes but franchise is decided for you

IF the randomness was based on hard, accurate data it would work. As we have seen in the past, the temps in The Show aren't always accurate.

I think for Franchise, roof open/closed depends on the weather. So in that sense, you can't decide which version to use, but you can decide on the weather. So if you choose raining, it will obviously be closed.

I'd just like temperature taken into account if this is the case. If I choose clear skies playing in Milwaukee, but it is in the early spring and the temperature is 50 degrees, I'd hope the roof was closed. Or July in Arizona or Miami, and it was hot, roof also closed. We'll see. I really don't care that much, I was one who didn't even care that much if we got closed roof versions at all.

Why not just have a "Random" option when selecting weather, while leaving the option to have stadium roofs open or closed up to the player? In life we have zero choice of what the weather will be like that day..but I suppose I could close my eyes and go that route..but this is the 21st century man..ain't got time for that!

All in all..I really hope that people are not bundled up in the middle of July..

I prefer to choose open or closed in franchise as well. I love most everything about this game, but I just don't trust the weather data to get it right.

The problem with random is it doesn't match the weather IRL. I'm sure it would be a mess to accurately replicate weather patterns in 30 cities but it isn't random.

I want to be able to choose as well. I'm afraid the roof will only be closed in the case of rain, and hot based on temperature. Most teams with retractable roofs play with them closes the majority of the time.

Curious minds wonder why they put dynamic weather or use the weather channel like NCAA football used on PS3.
