So are you guys still losing a ton of games? I have been sticking with default settings and started 9-20 with the white sox. I'm still not scoring anything, thinking about just playing the games instead. I think '15 spoiled me, it played so well out of the box I hate making changes and chasing sliders!

Playing with the White Sox myself in manage mode only and I'm struggling as well. I think it's actually accurate because the White Sox have holes that need to be filled. I think 15 overrated the White Sox but I think this year they got it right. Lot of work to rebuild this team to championship level.

I'm playing MoM with the Indians and I'm 2 games under .500. I've seen various scores and lots of hits. Almost to many hits and the runs are coming almost to many. I've had a few low scoring games, but I would say I'm averaging about 4 to 6 runs a game. I'm playing with tweaked default sliders. But everything is hovering around default.

I agree '15 was excellent. I adjusted no sliders. I tried nomo's but far too much offense resulting in high pitch counts. I found a mid point between nomo's and default, closer to default but I also hate making changes and chasing sliders.

I agree. I hate playing the continuous moving sliders. I found a happy medium I can live with. Is it perfect, no, but it's close enough to mlb for me. It's a video game. There is no way to make it perfect mlb play. There are just to many variables that a video game can't control over a human actually playing. I think this game is good out of the box with + click or 2 here and a - click or 2 there.

Any one playing with Starter Stamina @ 5? I am at the end of April with the Indians and my 3,4, and 5 starters all started with about 80 - 85% energy. Is it just a fluke or do I need to raise Starters to 6? It looks like my Ace will start full rested.

I have starter stamina on default. The reason you are seeing them at less than 100% energy is due to not being fully rested from their previous start. Durability and how many pitches they threw in their previous start determine how rested they will be.

I look for pitchers with good stamina and durability and a high bb/9 number and I pay attention to the pitch count. I also look at the schedule prior to the game to see if there is a day off between their next start. If so I know I can go a little deeper into the game. If not I don't go over 100 pitches.

Thanks tessl. I will start watching that more closely. I had a 9 game stretch, so I think I just pitched a few guys to long. I think I was more worried about my bullpen getting a little rest. I have reliever stamina set at 3 to help the cpu use relievers more realistically. Not perfect, but works for the most part, enough for me to be happy with it.

I just finished April last night and my team avg is .211 (30th) the next worse is .240. I have everything batting both hum and cpu at default. Is this just a slow start, or should I consider upping my hum contact +1? I ask bc I know you play default and I want to keep everything close to default. Through april (other then me the Indians, Im last or low in some categories) stats look almost spot on to MLB stats. Close enough that I am thrilled.

Well I'm sitting at 11-15 right now. The Indians are off to a very slow start. The cpu is playing very well against me. My 3 strikeout guys aren't getting more then 5 to 7 a outing. So the cpu is playing well in my opinion and the offense has been plenty. I could pm you my settings if you'd like to take a look to see if it brings your interest back. I'm going to play out May before I decide to up my contact +1.

I play with it on 5, and I have seen that once. I called up a AAA SP for a spot start and gave them an extra days rest. It is a problem I would love to have right now, but I am lucky to get a SP into the 5th lately. I let Sale throw 130 pitches the other day just because my bullpen needs a break, lol.

But to specifically answer your question, I don't think SP stamina needs to be at 6. IMO, it is one of those things that you can successfully manage. Plus, I have seen several cases of starters going into the 7th and 8th with well over 100 pitches so 6 may be a bit too high.

I agree with you and tessl. I think switching my #2 and #3 guys 10 days prior and over pitching a guy caused all this. I've since been through my rotation 1 and a 1/2 times, and stamina is fine.

Please keep us posted as I am in the exact same boat. I'm hitting .209 mid-way through May (ChiSox). When I played your Indians they beat me like I stole something, so as the cpu they are certainly not struggling in my universe!

It looks like the active posters in this thread think a lot like I do, the closer to default the better. None of us are hitting (except for the guys that have made minor adjustments) so I think I am going to consider bumping up the human contact to 6 and maybe lower OF speed and arm by 1. If I can bring myself to make those changes, I will let you guys know.

I'm at game 50ish at the moment and went through a streak of scoring 10 runs a game in 4 of my last 7 games.

Runs for the league keep going up on average because more tired bullpens and more bad pitchers pitching.

Yea - some teams are low average teams and I think overall runs are down but the games are fun and that is the main thing right?

This ain't no Strat-o-Matic and the DEVS are not that keen on real stats anyway. They REALLY need to hire some stat geeks but that is a different gripe.

I stopped tweaking for about 15 games now so I must be happy. Still using my temperature sliders but the temps in ball parks is ridiculously low and I still have no wind in Miller Park but I'm not sure ow much wind effects anything anyway.

The one weird thing is that I had a fantasy draft for all teams and BOTH AL and NL do not use the DH. However - the AL is so much more offensive oriented. When the NL plays AL the AL has a BIG advantage even though you would think they should be equal.

HOWEVER - I started bumping up the temp 10 degrees in June because temps are so low even in Florida and the west coast teams.

Well I am considering, HUM Pitch Ctrl +1 and Hum Contact +1 and CPU Strike Freq +1. Im constantly losing the SO battle every game. CPU is getting 9 - 12 a game against me and we can only manage 6 - 8. Thats with Kluber, Carrasco, and Salazaar. My guys are giving up to many BB. Indians are giving up 4-6 and the CPU 1-3.

I did it. I upped Hum contact, Hum Str Stam, and Rlv Stam all +1.
