To my fellow managers....

I have a question.... Let's say you 100 games into your season and you have two relivers in your 'pen.

1. Righty with .140 against lefty and .280 against righty.
2. Lefty with .140 against righty and .280 against lefty.

Bruce Harper is up... Who's hitting righty better than lefty for the year... Who would you put in?

Who throws harder?....cause he's getting one in the dome.....especially if he's wearing that stupid hat he had on...

but....

RHP.
....and I'm an "old school" manager that loves the LHP vs. LHB/RHP vs. RHB matchup....but that's too much of a slant to ignore.

Not dumb at all - go to the the schedule with the weeks and months on the right (not the ADVANCE DAY on the left) - click on VIEW ORG GAMES (the top one) click and you have PLAY GAME or MANAGE game and another option I don't know what it does.


I'll tell you when I find out but I wanted to TRY to fix the starter first - with relievers the CPU was using the entire bullpen it seemed. Looked more like Spring Training.

I have an election to attend so I'm only in the 3rd inning and had to "save".

Thanks for the tip! Maybe more people would play the mode if it was obvious how to! Lol.

It took me a few swings to find it but then my memory clicked in from previous searches and I started looking under rocks instead of the obvious places.

Now I save everything TWICE so if I accidentally SIM SEASON and then it auto saves . . . . . . .

nonoirie - 100 games in I'm going with the numbers and will need to answer the press after the game if it does not work out.

Gentlemen,

I am new to OS but not to the Show and am an avid OOTP player. WHERE do I find the MOM in The Show? I have searched up and down and can't find it anywhere and would love to give it a try. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to go into the calender in Franchise or Season mode only and the option will come up when you select the game to play.

IRL since Harper hits both lhp and rhp hard I'd use the best pitcher regardless of handedness but in the show their is no distinction for pitchers. There is only h/9. Therefore I would use the lefty.

Quick story - I used to know a guy whose name was Lefty, I never knew his real name. I always thought they called him that because he was left handed but I played pool with him once and he was playing right handed so I asked him about his name. He said the only thing he did left handed was hit a baseball because when he was a kid playing sandlot ball in St Louis he was having trouble hitting so his Dad told him to switch to hitting left handed. When he came up to bat all the kids would yell "lefty" to signal the outfield to shift and that became his name.

11 games through ST and still a stunning lack of offense.

HUM: .192/.255/.275
CPU: .219/.289/.343

I've been playing with Nomo's sliders for the last couple of games, but I'm still struggling to get what feels like a normal game. Through 11 games, I've scored 22 runs and allowed 33. I'm hoping it gets a little better after I get a few more games under my belt with the updated sliders.

I'm using a variant of Nomos after canceling my 1st season with default and and using new sliders (my Grinders Slider thread) . 5-3 game #1 and last night I had to stop in the 1st inning at 5-2 after 1 inning. Miller Park though so it's a HR city.

Game 1 the opposing pitcher actually went 7 innings and 105 pitches.

I play with quick counts.First 2 games using Nomo's test sliders i won 3-2 and 8-5 with A's test chise felt better but 7 homers in 2 games.I'll keep testing and report back.I definately don't think it's a default slider kinda year but i believe with a fee tweaks it'll be great

Played 1 game with Nomo's sliders and quick counts and lost 13-1. Miggy had 3 HRs and I gave up 13 hits and 7 walks. I'm too much of a purist to play with quick counts I guess. I hate getting a case of slideritis, but I think it's more necessary this year than it has been in the past.

Lets remember that it is early in the season, pitching staffs are fresh with no injuries and no AAA call ups that suck. Of course runs will be down ESPECIALLY with default sliders.

I am 7 games into my Season and all of my MoM games are played with full Broadcast mode enabled and Quick Counts disabled. For the first few games of my season plus the 5 Spring Training MoM games I played with MLB 16, I was not worried about low offense. I was seeing very believable results. But I will admit that I am a tad worried as offense has fallen off these last 3-4 games and I am contemplating increasing the solid hits from a 6 to a 7. But so far every game in this young season that my team is not involved in also been played as a CPU vs CPU game (vast majority of them with Quick Counts enabled on Fast Play) and in those games yes sometimes offense is down but in other games the batters are producing plenty of hits and runs. So I am not in panic mode. Yes there may be a slight problem with low offense. But I don't think it is a major issue that a tweak here or there to a slider setting can't address.

Part of the problem might be quick counts. I'm not seeing inordinately low scoring so far and I've played about 40 games in manage mode.

My issues are stolen bases which are down from previous years and progression which seems to have gone haywire.
