CPU stealing without you instructing them....or the CPU making the decision to pinch hit or bunt on its own...etc

I have played well over a hundred MLB 15 MoM games and not once have I ever seen the base runner steal when I have not told them to do so. But I have seen the odd unauthorized bunt (if you want to call it that). But I would not say this is a big problem.

I have only been using the generated counts option, but I think I will try the full pitch option in hopes of seeing more pick offs and more strategy from the CPU manager.

I have played 15 games thus far in MOM franchise and have seen only 1 pick off attempt by the CPU thus far. I also don't see the CPU stealing much, even with fast runners.It may be because of the generated counts not giving enough opportunity for runners to pick the "right count" to run on.

In 3 quick pitch games, I have gotten two pick off attempts by the computer.

I think I had unauthorized bunts in '14 but not '15 if my memory is working but yea - I have had some issues in the past but I THINK since I moved to PS4 and '15 they have not been an issue.

Examples? Might be easier to answer.

One bug from '15 I hope I don't have to test is last year when I FORGOT I pinch hit for a pitcher (it was the beer and other mind bending things playing) I was not allowed to get my reliever into the game for an entire inning or some other random event happened. My boxes would disappear never to return.

All I could do is watch in horror as my pinch hitter took the mound.

You can instruct the reliever to enter the game at the start of the next inning.

That seems to only come up every so often but yea - when that is available I use it after a few OMG innings LOL

This effects National League teams more than American League teams using the DH as this "pitcher bring into game on the next inning" feature only works when you have not pinched hit for your pitcher in a giving inning. However if your pitcher was due up to bat and you brought in some other player to hit instead, it does not matter if you told the game to bring in some reliever in the next inning, the game won't do it. You will need to manually bring the reliever in yourself. It's a little annoying, but not a huge problem.

I'm not sure how or why you are encountering this problem. In my franchise there are two options. Either instruct the reliever to enter the game at the next half inning at which point the game will prompt you with a yes or no - or you can simply wait until the inning ends at which point the game will take you to the bullpen with a message "you have a position player on the mound".

Quick question for you guys.

1st let me say that I am so glad the pitch speed and type is back in the Fox Box for this year's game.

However, my question is: Is there a way to turn off that pitch type ball marker that appears as soon as the pitch hits the catchers glove?

I've been driving myself crazy trying to figure out a way. I'm playing the ps3 version if that matters and of course MoM.

I have not found a way to turn it off but then again it has not bothered me (until now LOL). I would not mind not having it though - sort of useless.

On a different note - bunting - a pitcher will "sort of" pull back his bat for a ball which is outstanding. ACTUALLY he does not physically pull it back but he will let a ball go by. I had a 3-0 count last night trying to bunt which I have never seen before.

Also a LOL moment - Riddick had a hideous swing and the announcer said it looked like he was swinging a garden hose. I had to laugh.

Another small moment was a BLAST that the announcer (and me) knew it was a HR but it hit the top of the wall . . .it surprised both of us.

Team total stats are FUBR on the In Game Stat's though.

After home runs, I am not getting replays or seeing the players round the bases on broadcast mode with quick pitch off. Anybody else having this issue?

Interesting that we are talking about this, because it appears the problem I mentioned where the game would not bring in the pitcher if you pinched hit for him has been fixed. I was playing a game last night where I scheduled the pitcher to come in. But my team had a good round at the plate and turned out I pinched hit for the pitcher anyway and when the next half inning started the game asked me if I still wanted the pitcher to come in. In MLB 15 and earlier the game would not have done this. I said no because I wanted to double switch but it is nice to see SCEA fix a few things in MoM this year.

I still haven't seen the bunting issue resolved, but that does not mean it's not fixed. In my 2 MLB 16 MoM games to date, I have not needed to bunt all that much and I might not need to bunt as much this year anyway since I decided to mix things up and am playing with an AL team now (historically I have always played with NL teams).

I forget which menu it is in, but there is a option to enable/disable HR celebrations from a general configurations menu and your celebrations could be disabled. My HR celebrations are working in my MoM games.

Thanks for the response. I have looked everywhere. I can't seem to find it. I turned off my custom sounds of the show song for the home runs and it still hasn't helped.

I did a search and it seems you could remove the celebrations in 14, but not 15. So I don't know if I accidentally selected the option for this game or if even the feature still exists since it wasn't in last years version. Maybe I somehow created a bug.
