Ive been playing this mode since the game became a game. I enjoy the management and the fact I can try and get a team to win without being good on the sticks.MLB The Show 15 was almost perfect for MOM. I wish however they would put the pith type and speed back into the mode. Until last year we could see this. Now the only way to see how fast or what pitch was thrown is to have an out of town scoreboard in the background that shows this info. Other than that I thought the mode was about as good as you can get for MOM players. It would be nice to see the computer attempt a pickoff move also. I tell you something else, it is amazing the support this game gets. Other than maybe NBA 2K16 this is hands down the best sports game out there. The Devs listen to us, respond to us and try to implement as much as they can into the game.

I agree and I'm not sure why they removed it.

The only tweak I really wanted was the elimination of the cpu doing things on its own for my team which happened a couple versions ago (approx).

I could care less if the computer doesn't try to pick me off honestly. I always worry about pitchouts.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, lol, but MoM plays fine to me. I'm fine with no changes... I'm also not a die hard

Hmm all this positive discussion of MoM makes me think about picking it up this year. I am just getting too slow with the thumbs to play any other way.

Well....Woodweaver mentioned last year that he would like to adopt the red-headed step child that is M.o.M.
(but trust me....I thank SCEA it's still there)
...and try and make some changes.

But I know his plate is always full, so I can understand if nothing was touched.
It seems like so much was done to the game from the streams...that I really think it's unlikely anything was done.
Just the reality of things.

Still hoping though!

I want to thank you for being the biggest advocate for MOM players. We aren't a huge community but because of your connections with the Development team we are able to even have this feature in the game. I understand that this feature will probably not get improvements, if at all. But because of you, we still have it available to us. Thanks.

The one thing that bugged me is that I could not see pitch speed to see if pitchers are slowing down or where the pitchers were actually crossing the plate - I THINK MLB 14? had that but it vanished in 15.

In the developer stream you could see pitch speed and type are still in the game.

For MoM? It was there in 14 but vanished in 15.

They weren't playing MoM they were in the developer tournament but in the score/pitch count box in the upper left hand corner of the screen it showed pitch speed and type as in 14. It seems like it would be in MoM but I guess we will find out for sure on the 29th.

I wish we could play MoM head to head. Would love to play in MoM league. Not understanding why that can't be an option.

About time someone asked about management mode. I hope they haven't completely forgotten about us. I just hope M.O.M. doesn't get messed up by some of the changes they made to the game.

I just hope they do some regression testing on the mode. In the MLB 14 release for the PS3 (six weeks before the PS4 iteration was released), none of the MoM pitchers threw balls. Every pitch was right down the middle of the plate for a strike. There was a work around and the bug was patched about one month after the PS3 game was released. But the mode was clearly not regression tested. How could you miss such a bug. Of if it was tested, the results were ignored. :/

That is always a concern. Was it 2 years ago every pitch in Manage mode was down the middle of the plate until the patch?

After watching a guy get picked off in the Rizzo/Hosmer live stream I have an uneasy feeling the pickoff problem from a couple years ago in manage mode will return. Maybe I'm just paranoid but it looked like the runner took an extra long lead and was easily picked off.

Guess I'll find out on the 29th.
