The answers on this thread intimidate me. How are so many people so good at this game? This game is frackin hard!

I used to mess around with sliders non-stop but have used Dynamic Difficulty with default sliders for most of MLB 15 and have never looked back. I sit around All-Star+/HOF for both hitting and pitching and I'm more than a little surprised at how well the stats play out.

You aren't alone. You don't even want to know how many hours I had to spend in batting practice last year before I could even hit offspeed pitches, let alone bat over .250

I still cannot hit inside upper corner fastballs above 90mph.

I started playing in 2008, it was 2012 before I started being competitive. Tough game to master.

I can't imagine having the time to even do BP. Playing just the games themselves is a huge undertaking to get through a single season.

All Star timing hitting and HOF classic pitching. I was using All Star pitching but when I had a 2.20 team era in June I knew I needed to make a change.

I play HOF default sliders zone clean screen for hitting. I am a created player SS so I don't pitch. On HOF I got to the plate with a idea of what I am looking to hit. Fast balls are like fast balls in real life you can't hit everyone. Go to the plate with patience.

Plus my defense skills are outstanding LOL. Looking forward to this years game hopefully more freedom on defense and less being locked into animations after the play.

                      also this:

                      Pitching: All-Star (Classic)
                      Hitting: All-Star (Timing)
                      Fielding: Auto

I have this dilemma every year. I'm always All-Star hitting and I try and find my balance between All-Star and Hall of Fame on pitching. I really like pitching on Hall of Fame but sometimes I have difficult getting realistic strikeout numbers. But if I pitch on All-Star I consistently lead the league by a large margin in ERA.

I agree about HOF pitching. I use Allstar but bump up the offensive sliders for the AI slightly. Makes it more difficult, but not HOF difficult.

Been playing The Show for a long time, since MVP baseball series stopped. But, I am an All-Star level difficulty on hitting and pitching with my custom slider set. My slider set is Top 5 liked on the Slider Vauit. I find All-Star level is the best balanced, I can throw a 2- hit shut out one game and win 3-0, next game I can lose 10-3. lol
