IMO anyone not playing on Legend should seriously consider Dynamic.
Because when you get on a hot streak, the game will bump you up to Legend if you are hovering around HOF.
And eventually you will get good enough to play on Legend full time. I'm not good enough to play on HOF full time,
but I hover at the top of All-Star & occasionally I get bumped to HOF, where I can gain valuable experience.
Hopefully one day I will stick at HOF & can occasionally get bumped into Legend.
And also, Dynamic has the "+" levels in between, which is something manual difficulty settings don't. There's a good size gap between Vet and AS in terms of batting and pitching, so sometimes those tweener levels are just right.
I tend to stay around those levels, myself with Dynamic. Highest I've gotten is AS+, then got shot right back down to regular AS haha. I totally good with that, though. I definitely am not one of those who follow the belief of "If you're not playing on Legend, you're not really playing" types.
In the past I was all star for both hitting and pitching and had to use sliders to make hitting easier and sliders to make pitching harder. This years game is easier though and I am going with HOF pitching with sliders to make it harder and like default sliders on hitting all star.

No I tried Dynamic and after like 30 games the highest I could ever get for hitting was like All star+ or HOF and I wouldn't stay there long either.
I've tried dynamic three times this year, but it just doesn't work for me. Veteran is probably a bit too easy, but since moving to the PS4, All Star is far too hard. I'm just not good enough, and thats ok. I'm in mid September in my first season of franchise, and I think I'll just mess with sliders between seasons to find something that's challenging, but where I don't feel helpless.
Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.
I used dynamic on 15 and the problem I ran into is I pitched well enough on All-star that it would put me on Hall of Fame then I would get crushed and go back to All-star then pitch well go back to Hall of Fame. Rinse, repeat on and on and on. I ended up with the worst era in the game during that season with the Mets staff. I'm just sticking on All-star with my pitching.
Dynamic had me at Rookie+ on hitting and never got better. Between pitching and hitting I could rarely win a game. So I just decided both pitching and hitting on All-star. At first I struggled with hitting on All-star but have adjusted and I'm having more fun with both hitting and pitching and my stats are more realistic.

I was the same this year with pitching, except a level lower. Best ERA in MLB on veteran, worst on All Star. No in between. Hard to even get through an inning without giving up 3-4 runs on All Star.

I can't hit for anything on veteran. It's more a modified rookie than anything as I turn a lot of the sliders down. I'm not ashamed to admit it.
I agree...no shame. Funny for me I'm hitting better on All-star than I was on Dynamic(which was at Rookie+). I think it has to do with pitch speed... on Rookie+ it's too slow I think so my timing was way off, changeups float like in slow motion.
One of the KEYS to HOF and Legend Pitching is You Must Play a Pitcher and Hitter Mind Game. And one of the Secret is you do not throw a lot of strikes.
