Not in 16 & 17. Completely different story. Me and my buddies have to go to every single team and operate there offseason in order for free agents to be signed. Or else theres a pool of high 80-high 90 overall players that go unsigned and therefore retire.

I would honestly be content if they had injuries and stamina work. I am tired of everyone playing 162 games on every team. Also injuries dont work.

Also would like the very simple ability to edit players. It gets annoying how two players will wear the same #, or you will have players wearing numbers in the 60's-90's. Also it would be a way to curve the progression, since online still has the progression of old 5 seasons in everyone is throwing 98+.

As much as I'd love to hope that the team will give us an offline franchise experience that we can enjoy online with a couple buddies, or a whole thing of users, it seems as if that's just not going to happen when you base it off years past. They haven't touched much, if anything, in the last what? 3-4 cycles, yet the game keeps getting better and better in other areas. That's for another day haha.

But honestly I would love to have these implemented, I mean when playing a CPU team and injuries are on, only players in that game can get injured. So you're telling me there's no way to code in sim injuries for teams around the league?

The progression has been a problem for years as has the fact that there isn't any stamina. Your bench players are simply pinch-hit or pinch-run guys, so it takes a bit of the management aspect out of it.

I'd be happy with these changes if we can get them, but I'm going with my gut and expecting the same shell of a franchise mode experience when it comes to MLB the show 18.

If they can blow me out of the water and give us some changes, well, I'd buy 2 copies

Well not sure if most care here about presentation in our online franchises as most probably prefer FAST MODE, but to confirm there is no more option in online presentation. After 1 year same with Harold Reynolds SDS has removed the option for us to use BROADCAST mode online.

With that being said It's looking like another year of nothing done to online franchise and who knows it could have been removed all together.

For anyone that does not know me, I have been playing this game doing my annual online league since about 2011 and I prefer having the same presentation I would get offline. I want that online too as an option to me and not restricted to only use FAST PLAY. This was done to us on MLB 16 and I personally hated it because you do not get to enjoy that hard fought win or comeback in the bottom of the 9th with a walk off HR, You do not get to see players rounding the bases, you hit HR and that's it the scene was over. On the other side of things if your pitching and get a No-Hitter or even a Perfect game! You do not get any celebrations the scene and game is over.

I have already confirmed with a SDS developer that broadcast is not available online.

I could not agree more. I only play with 3 other buddies. So we play alot of CPU games, and since OF never gets updated having the ability to have a different presentation other then Fast Play was an amazing "feature". If we are forced to play in fast play again I'm going to be severely disappointed. At the very least give us hybrid.

Nothing worse then winning the world series with 0 celebration and just getting a box score. Or hitting a walk off blast and box score.

We see no emotion, no rounding the bases. No replays. This will be a severe hit to my enjoyment of the show.

P.S you are right. Still no confirmation OF is even in, and it's sad we not only have to hope it is, but we won't know until the franchise stream a week before the game releases. So frustrating being a huge supporter of this mode and getting no updates and it being broken for 5 years now.

Last year was a disaster for online franchise. OS Vets had a good 6 year run until that mess last year. This year, we can't even get confirmation if the mode is still even in the game. Not a good sign.

Personally, I would rather no new features if it's back. The ones that were in MLB 17 didn't even work properly (player progression for one). So to add new features in a mode that's already broken would probably just lead to a bigger mess. The entire mode needs an overhaul. But at this point, I would just be grateful if the mode is still there and the features that were advertised for online franchise 2 years ago finally worked. Another bonus would be if they finally fixed the non changing schedule season to season.

I agree 100% and glad to see others on here that feel the same way about broadcast in the online leagues. Here is the response I got form a developer and he has not responded since.
