Just got the game today (MVP Edition) for my birthday. About how long does the game take to fully download via disc? Last year you could play the World Series rematch while loading but wondering how long until full access?

It took until about the 7th inning of the game before mine was completely installed.

Why am I always the home team in Battle Royale? The game is always played in the park I select, does anyone know why this is? I'm just confused why I never play in stadiums picked by the opponent.

Does anyone know if you can sort league leaders for the expanded stats in the player statistic screen? I noticed they still have the lame league leaders section, but I remember in the stream it looked like they had sorting for statistics for the whole league in the player statistic tab.

what the hell is going on here? Im playing a regular game, it's the 2nd inning and David price is just standing on the mound, the batters strike zone is all blue, and the batter is just staring at me, swaying back and forth. Am I an idiot? What am I missing? It won't let me select/throw a pitch, I've pressed every possible button and nothing happens.

Anybody have a fast and efficient way of playing franchise mode? I've started playing the first 3 innings, sim to the 8th and sim the last 2 or 3 games of series.

I noticed some minor frame rate issues when I played this game at home, but today I brought my PS4 over to my grandmas house and the game is suffering from serious frame rate and input lag issues. Im very late on 75% of my swings because the input lag is so bad. It wasn't like this at my house.

Play 1-2 games per series using position lock, changing your position/player each time.

Sorry that I sound clueless but what does position lock do to make it quick/efficient? Thanks for the advise btw!

This may have been asked already but, is anyone having an issue with the swing feedback display not showing up on the screen. My first two games it worked just fine, but since then (and I checked to make sure it was still turned on) it hasn't appeared. Did I toggle an option that disables the swing feedback, or is this a bug?

When playing head to head....is it possible to turn off the pitch type indicator?

This same thing happened last year, where the CPU could read your throw's trajectory and tell whether it was off line. If so, they wouldn't stop running. If you threw a runner out when they did that maybe they tweaked the outcome (I can't remember ever throwing out a runner who didn't stop), but not the problem (AI reads and reacts to your throws).

I did just see this. Throw from outfield to 3rd, runner rounds 3rd as the 3rd baseman does not make the tag. Easy throw home gets the runner. Weird. The throw was online and was a close play at 3rd.

Loving the game so far, just asking if anyone has seen this?

CPU runner is heading to 3rd so I throw the ball there from the OF, my throw is a little off bag and the runner doesnt slow down and just starts heading for home for an easy out. I have seen it 2-3 times in about 11 games, seemed to only be when the throw takes the 3rd baseman off the bag, anyone else seen this?

Yes, almost the same scenario. Gotta be a bug.

Locking positions means that you only play the at-bats of the player you chose, so you're looking at maybe 4-5 at bats in a game. You also have the option to play the situations where your chosen player is involved on defense. (ex: if you choose Josh Donaldson, you'll be tasked with fielding any ground balls or pop ups to third base)
