The free agent pool is weird, if you put them in that make sure you save your changes to a roster file and the go back and reload that roster file. That should work. Import export is much easier though.

Yup, that's what I'm doing now. I pretty sure I lost the first four players I created due to that free agent pool thing. Now I use the export function and save them first.

Yeah, the roster system is kinda confusing at first because everything is manual. Whenever you make any type of change you have to save immediately after or it'll get lost. And then even after you save it, you have to go and load the roster file you just saved, kinda weird but oh well.

Where can I find the MLB Today mode, to play any of the day's scheduled games?

Don't recall exactly ... But I think it's under:
Exhibition ==> Current Roster (or was it Default roster).

I'm quite certain it's "current roster" that allows you to play that particular day's scheduled games.

On the create a player issue...

I just figured some of this out. If you put them in the free agent pool, you can then go to Roster Control, select a team, then click on Player Movement. You can get to the Free Agents lists from there. Then you can find your created free agent and swap him with a player on the team roster.

Now I'm having another problem. I created and saved a roster file that includes my created player and other changes. I'm trying to start a new Franchise using that roster. But, no matter what I do, it won't load that roster.

Frustrating.

"Current" refers to the currently active/loaded roster i.e. what you'd see if you went to roster control.

I saved the roster file with a unique name, I loaded the roster file, making it the current roster. I made sure it was correct by looking at the Roster Control. It was. I tried putting the roster into the new franchise two different ways:

1. I selected the "current" roster. Didn't work.
2. I selected the "saved" roster, selected my uniquely named roster. Didn't work.

I can't figure out if this is a glitch of some sort, or if there's something I'm not doing correctly.

Is anyone else having a problem in the Player Vault? It will not let me sort or apply a filter at all and I don't feel like going through 71 pages. Last year I remember I could sort by Creator and that sort of thing

It's just not highlighting.
If you move over with the pad....and hit square...you will see it sort.

The sort feature is there, but the headings are missing. So, you just have to count your clicks left or right to choose the column you want to sort on.

How do you tell which year into your contract you are from the player card screen? This is in RTTS.

Hey guys, I like to play with a clean screen and I don't see an option this year to turn off the swing/pitch info or the pitch repertoire like last year. Am I missing something? Thanks!
