Question...I am at end of season 2 and signing free agents. I am trying to get altuve. I have enough cap space to sign him but once I put in offer and sim to next day, it says I don't have enough money and have to withdraw offer. I then try to do it for 1 year and same thing. Also I have no pending offers.

      Franchise Stats

I just started my first franchise with 16 and the stats haven't yet to change to reflect this years stats on the overlays when the batter is coming up to the plate. I am still early in season, very early, but just wondering when does this change to current stats?

You should start seeing franchise stats about a week into the season. I think it takes 6-7 games or so.

I usually try to aim for the corners if it makes any difference.
H/9 has to be most important for me. Velocity is second most important, it didn't used to progress but not sure if that's still the case.

What you should do is use your points to spend on budget space. I have done that many times to sign FA

There are a lot of factors that effect cap space. If you're getting close to the cap, this can cause problems. Unsigned minor leaguers, unsigned coaches and back ended contracts can all fudge the numbers. It's a good policy to have plenty of extra room if you're making a big splash in FA.

Also a good idea to get those pesky minor leaguers signed ASAP. Don't want them chewing into your prospective cap space.

Question regarding changing roles for pitching:

If you've got a SP who has been struggling and you want to move him to RP, what do you do? Do you edit is actual position to a RP & do you touch his attributes? Same question regarding RP to CP or CP to RP. & once you decide to trade him/move to minors, does the game edit their position at all or are they stuck as whatever you set them as?

                Thanks~

Why have potential in RTTS? All your stats can go to 99, so why give RTTS players varying potential. It doesn't make a lot of sense.

Or does the potential limit some abilities from going to 99, or even lower.

Anybody know why your break trajectory arrows changes on some pitches? It particularly happens with Curveballs.

I thought maybe it just changes when you go from windup to stretch or when a different sided batter comes up. However, it changes during the same at-bat.

My knuckle curve is usually something close to a 12-6 break, but sometimes 11-5 break, but then it will switch to a 10-4 and almost have arrows similar to that of a slider.

I am a newbie to MLB 16 the show. I have a question in regards to hitting home runs. While I love the game, I have been playing for about a month now and am having difficulty hitting them with any batter I use. I am currently using the sliders set by Coach Moder and I use directional hitting. I would greatly appreciate any help that could be provided as I do not want to become so frustrated that I do not play the game anymore? Is there anyhting I can do with the joysticks (point up??) contact swing versus power swing?? I am open to any help
                      Thank You In Advance

I know this isn't much help, but with the Beginner hitting setting, I think pitchers will only throw 1 pitch type and the pitches will always be in the strike zone. I've found that I hit 2-3 HR's a game. Even in my first season (minors and majors) I hit probably close to 300 HR's. In fact I had to switch to classic Guess Pitch so that I can get singles so I can attempt stolen bases.

As for swinging I always wait until the ball is about to cross the plate, then I jerk the left joystick up and hit X. I'll typically either HR or fly out.

I highly recommend zone hitting. I had to raise the difficulty because I was getting HRs with pitchers.

If you stick with directional, I usually just point up. That's what I used to do. But say if I have a lefty like Granderson against a righty, I aim up-right so I can pull an inside pitch. Vice versa (Cespedes).

I'd stick with a normal swing [X]. But sometimes, I will use a power swing (square) and just hope they throw it in the middle.

Make sure you have the batting analyzer on, so it shows where you are swinging and your timing after each pitch.

I play with the Mets, and I remember getting like 2-3 HRs a game on the difficulty below veteran using directional.

This is a tough question to answer, mainly because there are so many factors that can lead you to hitting or not hitting a home run. Everything from your batters chosen stance to your tv's response time can impact the frequency of home runs.

In general, I'd pull (especially with pull hitters) and swing slightly early if you're trying for power. Pushing up gets you under the ball, and I rarely use it unless I'm trying to stay out of the double play or the pitcher is throwing mostly sinking pitches. Even then I'll still pull for power.

If you're playing RttS though (and assuming your TV and attributes aren't the problem), my biggest piece of advice is to try different batting stances. You'd be surprised what a difference it can make.

Is there a way to get more than 120 perk points for your position player/pitcher in RTTS?
