Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
What'd you have in mind? Really anyone is available besides Fernandez (Planning to lock him up for Strasberg money in the offseason), Gordon (Salivating at the prospect of Machado and him as my middle infield), and Stanton (Big long term contract that no one will ever eat money on). I figure Yelich, Ozuna, and Bour to be the most valuable guys left of the bunch but seeing any of them leave wouldn't make me cry exactly lmao.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Would a package based around Christian Yelich and honestly anyone not named Fernandez, Gordon or Stanton be able to get me Manny Machado in my Marlins franchise? Ideally I'd like to send Ozuna instead of Yelich but I figure Yelich to be the more valuable of the two. Hecheverria just isn't my cup of tea so I'd be more than willing to send him the other way to open up SS for Machado.
I was thinking something like:
Marlins send:
Christian Yelich
Adam Conley (Or insert worthy prospect)
Adeiny Hecheverria
Orioles send:
Manny Machado
C-level prospect
Obviously it's not likely in the slightest that Machado would be traded so I guess I'm looking for fairness over realism though if I see that the Orioles are contending when I fire up the save I won't do the trade.
EDIT: Just an FYI that Machado is conservatively on pace for a 7.5 WAR season. He's 23. The best position player that you never really hear about because his last name isn't Harper or Trout.Last edited by WaitTilNextYear; 06-05-2016, 01:23 AM.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Granted that realism is completely out the window as you've stated, I don't think you can even give them fair value. Machado is even more valuable than Fernandez, even more valuable than Stanton even if Stanton were making minimum wage. I don't see this working out for even Fernandez + Yelich + entire farm system.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
This has been mentioned on the thread before....but whats up with guys just giving away Blake Swihart? I understand the real BoSox sent him down to work on playing OF, but he's got less than 400 MLB plate appearances. Its way to up to give up on him. Wasn't he practically untouchable last year?Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
What would a deal for Evan Gattis look like, the astros are out of contention and I am looking to improve over Christian Vasquez. I was thinking about trading them a SP like Roenis Elias, 9-4 2.10 ERA in Triple A who would step in and be their #4 starter as Colin McHugh is out for the season with a torn labrum. Elias is also under control for multiple years. Maybe him and a lesser prospect would work?Comment

Rule of thumb, make it hurt. Getting rid of guys you don't want anyway (Buchholz, Swihart, Elias) makes trades not have any balance or risk/reward to them.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Elias doesn't have much value. He's more of a AAAA type than a #4 or a prospect. He'd be the lesser prospect in a deal for Gattis, not the primary one. Also, you might want to present Gattis' stats. I am assuming he's doing pretty well if you want him.

What kind of package would you suggest? I suggested Elias as he is decent stats wise and is up to a 77 OVR in Triple A and the astros currently have two guys in the 60's in their rotation. And it's not like i dont like Swihart or Buchholz, just not a fan of using them in the game. I wanted Gattis because I had done an Astro's Chise and hit pretty well with him so im a fan.Last edited by PandaWaffleHD; 06-05-2016, 04:33 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
If the Astros aren't contending, then they don't really have need to trade for a 28-year-old AAAA pitcher like Elias to shore up their #4 spot. They have plenty of those guys or prospects to take a look at already. I'd suggest giving them a player with some new prospect sheen. Maybe someone with a low B potential and someone you could regret trading later on if he pans out.Last edited by PandaWaffleHD; 06-05-2016, 04:54 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
So I have been out of town for a couple days and I'm heading back home now. I posted a couple days ago about acquiring Souza for my Twins chise. I am also looking at Khris Davis as well but Souza would be a better fit because he is better defensively. My other need is a lefty reliever because if you follow my chise on this page, Abad is just terrible for me. Any names out there I could get for cheap. I was actually looking at Matusz but I don't want a rental.Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I know the Orioles dealt him and then he got DFA because I'm a Orioles fan lol. Can you still not re-sign players during the season because I can't find it in the franchise. I am trying to re-sign Jensen now before the season endsFollow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment
