I'm looking to add a starting pitcher to my rotation so I can move Adam Warren to the pen to sure it up. I'm in year 5 off my franchise playing every game and I've yet to make the World Series so I'm going all out this year trying to build a realistic dream team. I'm looking at Samardzija (84 OVR) is currently 3-11 with a 5.61 ERA playing for the Phillies who are 13.5 GB of the second wild card at the end of July. I've pitched well with him in the past so I figure I can turn his season around.


What would be a fair deal? I'm thinking of a package centered around Pierce Johnson (77 OVR) 2.70 ERA in limited BP action.

Abraham Almonte has been a solid 4th OF for me. Switch hitter with mid 50s contact and high 40s power and can play all OF spots.

He's also suspended for 80 games

So I have put both Tyler White and Mikal Franco on the trading block. Looking to deal only one of them for a nice starting pitcher.

Tyler White through May 10th in my season is tearing the cover off the ball hitting .350 with 4 HR's and 17 RBI's. Franco has been the opposite but we know how good that kid is.

So what is a good pitcher/pitchers to target that is fair game for a straight up deal for either of these two corner infielders if I decide to part with one of them.

Not a trade but what kind of money would it take to sign Yulieski Gourriel in my Nat's franchise? He's in the free agents of one of the rosters I downloaded and even though I could just sign him to the 80k minimum I figured I'd keep it realistic and give him what he would be worth irl

Hector Olivera's deal might serve as a comparison/floor. Olivera got 6 years and $62.5 million before the 2015 season. Olivera is about the same age as Gurriel, produced a bit worse in Cuba, and has a slightly lower upside.

If you want younger, a guy like Dwight Smith Jr has good contact vs righties and has solid defence and speed and is only young.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have to check to see where Bourne is. I don't know if he is on the Jays or a free agent.

What would it take to get Smith from the Jays? I am the Orioles so an inter-division isn't all that realistic but as long as it's a fair deal I'm cool with that.

What would it take to get Reddick from the As as the Nats?

In addition to that, what would it take to get AA LHP Harrison Musgrave from the Colorado Rockies organization?

I know the Rays would trade you your choice of SP (aside from Archer) for Franco

I know. I took him in a deal and after his 80 games he became a decent 4th OF for me.

He was on Atlanta in mine but I waived him like in real life and signed him.

As for Smith I am not sure. We would probably want a reliever or starter? Maybe with another small player added. Likely you will have to pay an extra C or so as division tax lol

Why would the Mets trade any off those guys for prospects one year removed from playing in the World Series ?!? Not realistic at all only way one of these guys gets moved is for a superstar to help them win now not in 3-5 years
