    Sorry for such broad questions!

Matt Kemp is going to be moved. I saw that pop up on a notification earlier today. Also Cashner and maybe Ross.

They could cash in on Drew Pomeranz. I mean get an absolute haul

On one hand you expect Pomeranz to regress a little because there's no way Drew friggin Pomeranz is this good. On the other hand,

I think he is basically Rich Hill, but only 27 and still having a chance to peak. I know the sample size isn't huge but that swinging strike rate is legit. I'm a huge fan of him.

Not a bad comp. Pomeranz relies on the curve a lot too, even more so than Hill.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

I've decided to stay away from an Astros franchise until the roster project I'm working on is complete.

I'm going with a Rays rebuild team. I'd like to keep their rotation as close as possible, but am willing to trade a 2-3 of them to get the players I want. I made a list below, and I understand some may be considered "untouchable".

PLAYERS I WANT (RED PLAYERS I WANT THE MOST)
                Brewers 1B Chris Carter
                Giants 2B Kelby Tomlinson
                Phillies 3B Maikel Franco
                Cubs SS Javier Baez
                Reds SS Jose Peraza
                Twins OF Danny Santana
                Twins OF Miguel Sano
                Rangers OF Delino DeShields Jr
                Marlins OF Marcell Ozuna
                Cubs OF Jorge Soler
                D'Backs OF Yasmany Tomas
                D'Backs OF/IF Chris Owings
                Dodgers OF Kike Hernandez
                Padres OF Jabari Blash

                Padres OF Travis Jankowski

Like I said before, I understand some of these may not be realistic. If they are, just say so. Don't need to go in-depth on it. Lol

Any MLB talent is available. I'm more than willing to use Kiermaier, Forsythe, Longoria, Moore, or Boxberger to make any of these deals work.

Like most people I can't stand pitching with dickey so I put him in AAA. Colabello I have on the DL because of his suspension and thole is my backup catcher still. Stats-

                  Dickey (AAA)- 6-5 3.95 ERA 1.56 whip.

                  Thole- 1.73 4 RBIS

                  Colabello no stats

I know thole isn't worth a pack of gum but if dickey ever moved he would go with him.

I saw that one guy on here traded dickey and couple of minor leaguers for chichi Gonzalez who I like. I'm manly looking for prospects/prospect (some one like chichi) and maybe a backup catcher if possible.

Looking for fairness don't care about realism.

                  Thank you.

I traded Dickey and a couple of fillers for Chi Chi, Rua and Josh Hamiltons contract. I think if you want a prospect like chi chi for dickey you need to take on a contract dump :/

Colabello is also on my DL and I will just let him walk in FA. Thole I think I traded for a low C reliever for my AA team haha.

Hamilton started terrible but is now my starting LF and will have a role with my team next year if I can't retain my 2 big bats. Plus he can learn 1B over the offseason.

Javier Baez and Jorge Soler are both available in a trade for SP. I'd think something like Smyly for Baez or Soler would work, could probably get Vogelbach as well because there's no room for him in the NL.

All the other players on your list are relatively available as well, some not because they just signed but that's all.

                      Ross is on the DL
Kemp is struggling and the contenders aren't too in need of OF
SP is what some of the contenders need
Contenders are (NYY believe it or not, BOS, CWS, TEX, WAS, STL, CHC)

NYY is leading the AL East and Boston is close. Both need an arm in their rotation. Obviously BOS has the better system to go out and get one.

I want to say Pomeranz is doing pretty well for the Padres. However, it's The Show and I'm not sure his ratings in the V2.5 OSFM reflect how well he's pitching IRL. So not sure exactly what his value is. If the Red Sox are in play, who would they give up?

I don't see it. He's 35 and could be a bat or depth OF on a contender, but the Mets are a contender.

                      ____________________

I do 30-team control and did the following trade for CPU teams:

                      COL sends Carlos Gonzalez
NYM sends SP Rafael Montero and 1B Dominic Smith

Mets needed to upgrade at OF as Granderson is playing horrible. Rockies are in last place in NL West and Gonzalez is having an alright season (.260/15 HR). Montero is a guy who could be in the rotation next season and Smith has high upside as a power guy in Coors.

                      _____

                      PHI sends SP Jeremy Hellickson
                      BAL sends P Dylan Bundy

Baltimore needs a guy who will be consistent and get them to the postseason. Their offense is lighting it up and top of the pitching rotation is doing well. Bundy is listed as a RP in their organization but when I sent him to PHI I moved him back to SP. PHI goes full out tank mode and will have a super young team with some promise for the future. Bundy isn't the blue chip prospect he once was either.

                      ___

                      My trade:

I ended up sending 3B Trevor Plouffe to LAD for SP Ross Stripling. It just makes sense. I don't envision Stripling as a star but if he is a consistent middle to back of rotation guy or even turns into bullpen arm I'll be happy. I like Plouffe but I don't think I'd re-sign him and LA is making a run at a title. They really needed a bat. They keep their stud P prospects so the cost isn't too high for them.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

So earlier there was a quick discussion on how the Mets and Yankees won't make a blockbuster, but looking around I don't see any attainable help that brings some kinda speed to my lineup so I'm interested in a potential trade for Jacoby Ellsbury.

I don't mind the contract as I'm trying to WIN NOW and I see him having some decent year/s left.

As the Mets what would it take to make something happen with the Yankees. I can be way off base here but swapping contracts seems like a good idea ?!?

Granderson goes back across the bridge to Yankee stadium and Ellsberry comes over to citi ? Please lmk what to guys think also would the Yankees add a mid level prospect to go with that Ellsberry contract ?!?

No way it'd be Ellsbury + for Granderson. That just doesn't make sense. Kind of a tough deal if you want to include Curtis due to the Yankees probably wanting one decent prospect back as well.

The reason I saw it making sense was because Ellsbury's 5 year 105 million left on his deal vs the 2 year 31 million left on Gramderson's. Thought the Yankees would sweeten the deal with a prospect to make this happen.

But if that's unrealistic what prospect would I have to pair with Grandy to acquire Ellsbury ?!?

PS. Reason I used Grandy in the deal is to make the money work as I'm using a roster with true player contracts.

I just personally don't see the reason why the Yankees would send a prospect to get rid of Ellsbury just to add Granderson. They are taking a pretty good size downgrade and give up a decent prospect in the process? I just personally don't feel that.

If the Yankees are out of it why not go Granderson + B + B for Ellsbury + Chapman? The Mets probably need a reliever and if you're going to make a trade with the Yankees it could be a possibility in real life they deal Chapman or Miller.

Chapman did not command a lot from the Yankees to get there, but I think his value will get knocked a bit with them getting rid of Jacoby's contract for Granderson and a pair of prospects.

Ellsbury is a negative player. Take him for free basically. Or send a semi bad contract back. De Aza + stuff.
