Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Guessing the thought is that Beltre is a HOF third baseman and Turner is just a bit above average.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Saw an article today talking about reports of Jose Fernandez to the Red Sox for Devers and Espinoza, idk about you guys but I feel like more should be added to this to make it even. Your guys input if I were to do this in my Marlins franchise?Giants/Yankees/Knicks/Blues/UFCComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Would probably depend a bit on stats, but that package seems a bit light overall and especially in near-ready guys that Miami can plug in. Miami is not terribly fond of teenagers and really young prospects; their whole business plan revolves around maximizing both team control and the likelihood that acquisitions will impact the MLB club soon.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Turner's struggling, but I'm just gonna move Howie to LF and put Turner at second. I have Kendrick on like a 5 WAR pace."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
The Reds would practically give you Jordan Pacheco.
Kurt Suzuki might be dealt if the twins were out of it, but i think theyd probably want a decent (high C) prospect back, possibly two....maybe even a catcher, cause I cant think of any viable options they have to replace him. Honestly though I can't really picture him getting dealt though
Edit: They do have JR Murphy, who could at least fill in for the remainder of the season, so its not that unrealistic after all
Norris would probably cost you the most. Maybe one B or a couple C's depending on how he's playingFollow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Probably nothing more than Boston media. They like to write about how they can get Sale for a package that includes Allen Craig all the time.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
In those same articles about Sox trading for Jose Fernandez was the Sox refusal (rightly so) to include Xander or Mookie and Miami said yesterday they're looking to add major league arms and don't want to subtract from their major league roster to do so. So long story short, Fernandez isn't going anywherePSN: lxl_Porta_lxl

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Im in the first offseason and I let Jose Bautista walk. Well he signed the Qualifying Offer so I released him as I dont want him and then he magically dissapeared from my Franchise(hes nowhere to be found, I checked everywhere).
So anyways, I am looking for a solid RF to trade for. I'm looking for a guy with a good arm for RF, preferably left handed or switch hitter and he doesn't need to have much power(Donaldson, Edwin and Tulo all hit over 30 HR, plus I added Brett Wallace to play 1st).
Basically I am looking for Josh Reddick, but he re-signed in Oakland before I could make a run at him, so hes not a very realistic target in my particular franchise at the moment.
What would it take to get Jake Marisnick back with the Jays? His speed and defense would be nice in RF, with Pillar and Pompey in CF/LF.
Other guys im looking at are:
Gerardo Parra
Carlos Gonzalez
David Peralta
I have Anthony Alford rising pretty quickly through the minors so I may not need a permanent solution.Comment

Reddick would have fit perfect for what you described. I am also curious as I am looking for someone to play In the OF in my franchise as well. I am having issues at 1B, LF and even CF. I was thinking of making a stab at Carlos Gonzalez as well at the deadline. Curious on what his price would be. Marisnick is also possible. He is on the trade block in mine but hitting .109 one month into the season.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Some baseball guy with ESPN released a video today saying the White Sox should trade Chris Sale to the Red Sox (COMPLETE speculation, no actual reports of this, probably won't even happen) but I was curious what a package for Sale would look like. For starters would it cost more or less for Sale than for Sonny Gray? Would a package of Blake Swihart, Rafael Devers, Michael Kopech, and Henry Owens be a good start?PSN: lxl_Porta_lxl
