I personally have zero use for him, why rot him when you can get something of use for him? Solid prospect in a package for a good player.

It's not that I want to trade him haha and believe I'm a huge fan. I bought his jersey the day he got called up, follow him on all social media, and we've even talked back and forth a little on Twitter (I promise I'm not a stalker) I chose to include him because I think his positional "versatility" I.e. He wasn't awful in LF and he's got a higher offensive cieling than Vazquez does. If I could get the same value back for Vazquez that I could for Swihart I'd trade Vazquez in a heartbeat but unfortunately i think teams would ask for Swihart instead

At the deadline in my Padres franchise. A trade just was made between the Rangers and the A's. The Rangers are holding a 3.5 game lead in first place of the AL West while the A's are well behind in last. The trade was Sonny Gray (11-5 2.63 ERA 1.19 WHIP) for Lewis Brinson (.253 7 HR 23 RBI in AAA), Dillon Tate (5-6 3.78 ERA 1.65 WHIP) and Luis Ortiz (2-5 4.34 ERA 1.83 WHIP). Do you think this is fair or should I reverse it (My most recent save was 3 days before the trade)?

I would think Gray could go for more than that, especially inside the division - are those prospects well-rated? If they have good upside, then I could see the case, but I think maybe it might be a bit too low for a guy with Gray's stats and age.

as the Mariners 49-43 1.5 games back in west and top of wildcard i am looking to add a rhbatter that could play the corner positions. obviously do not have a lot to give up so looking for ideas. thought about tomas since he could be cheap but contract is bad... maybe carlos santana or duvall types?. i dont really have anyone significant on the DL either.

              Thanks for the response.

Tate is 74 OVR B potential who turns into low 80's OVR in my test sims, Ortiz' future overall is mid 70's but right now he is a 60 OVR B potential and Brinson is 77 OVR with a B potential and I forget his exact future rating but I think it was low 80's with great defense, good speed, and decent contact and power.

That's not too bad - I think maybe if one of them were more high-80's potential, I think it would be pretty good - probably replace Ortiz (if you can, I don't know if you're 30-team or no) with someone else since Brinson will likely play up beyond his rating with that profile if he develops and Tate wouldn't be bad if there was one more "sure" prospect in there.

Thanks so much for the responses. I am not on 30 team control so it's either scrap the whole thing or keep it. I think I'll keep it tho. Thanks again.

And that the Gamecocks logo is racist as well.

Hey, you never know, it could be racist to chickens. It may make them feel stereotyped as fighting animals. Chickens have feelings too.
