Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I want to start a new franchise and I was thinking the Marlins. If I do it I would trade Stanton and Fernandez and aim to contend in 3 years or so.
Are either of these close to value?
Fernandez to the Yankees for Severino, Mateo and Judge
Stanton to the Dodgers for Urias, De Leon and Pederson
I did some thread searches and most people said it would cost a lot to get either guy a few months back so I assume that is still the case?
I feel like I might be asking too much from LA and not enough from NY.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
In my honest opinion, I don't think you are getting enough for Fernandez. Fernandez is under team control for awhile and very young. What rosters are you using because if it is the newer OSFM roster, They have Frazier and I would pull him. I would go Fernandez for Severino, Frazier, Judge and Mateo. The Stanton deal could be enough because I highly doubt they give up Saeger. You will be loaded with talent in the minors if you do these two deals. Some of these guys could help now in Pederson, Urias, Severino and Judge. That is just my opinion though. I think you could find a beter farm to trade Fernandez too.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
What kind of value would we put on Tyler Skaggs if he's pitched to a 7-9 record, a 3.12 ERA, a 3.09 FIP, a 7.1 K/9, a 1.9 BB/9 and a 3.47 WAR at the deadline?
Angels are four and a half out of their division, and half a game out of the second Wild Card spot. He's pitched to the best WAR of the rotation, but Nick Tropeano (3.41), Garret Richards (2.24), and Andrew Heaney (2.18) are all having great seasons as well. Their bullpen is pretty crappy, and outside of Trout, Pujols, and shockingly Giavotella, they're pretty bad offensively. What's it take to get him?
Wouldn't hurt to know what Heaney would cost too. 12-3, 2.85 ERA, 4.01 FIP, 5.2 K/9, 2.0 BB/9, and 2.18 WAR.Last edited by Mattchu12; 08-05-2016, 05:37 PM.Comment

They don't move him in that situation. He is probably their best pitcher and they are a half game out of the 2nd WC. They are more likely to add to the pen and rotation than subtract.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Do you honestly think the Red Sox would trade a guy like Devers even considering that they traded Espinoza? Like a Tyson Ross esque player? I'm wondering from the point of view of a Red Sox fan if that's realistic? Because in my franchise I would love to trade Ross for Devers lol.Check out my dynasty: Rise to the Top: The Coaching Career of Joshua Morgan (NCAA 14)Comment

If I was the Angels, I'd deal only if I could significantly upgrade my offense. I'm in contention, so I don't want to straight out weaken my team, but since I'm in contention, I could consider upgrading my offense if I really have just 3 hitters, one of which is older and not likely to keep it up, doing anything at the plate.
It would have to be a nice upgrade. Otherwise, I might just roll with what I have or find an upgrade that wouldn't take from my current rotation."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

He could get a solid Haul from Boston if he wanted to for Hernandez. Hernandez can relatively get you any teams top big guns in the farm.Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Ok maybe I'm blind but the only time I've seen Ross's name mentioned in regards to this trade was by you. Am I missing something?
Nevermind, I see it now. Ugh need more sleep.
Yes Devers in a package for someone like Fernandez, but not Ross.Last edited by Nulap; 08-06-2016, 12:09 PM.Comment
