Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Rating wise it isn't even close. barnes a 71 and Suzuki 81. I am not just stating this because I want to deal with the Dodgers, it was just one of the teams interested. The rays were the other.Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Yeah, that's way too much for McCann. I wouldn't give NYY, Folty straight up for BMC.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Braun got injured for two and a half months and was out past the deadline anyway. I'm nearing the end of the 2016 season and he hasn't produced well enough for me to be in position to trade him in the off season. Probably going to keep him going into 2017 and hope for the best.Comment

I was thinking that too.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
This is more of a hypothetical question than something I would actually do, but what do you reckon it would take for the Angels to give up Trout? I remember Buster Olney bringing it up because the Angels are so far off competing and show no signs of becoming competitive, is there realistically a package they'd take for him or would that be seen too much as just giving up?
To my mind, it would need to involve at least one sure fire starting pitcher under team control for a decent amount of time, as their rotation sucks. Probably an elite outfield prospect as well to replace Trout in the lineup, probably an elite infield prospect as well?Comment

Like Scott said, I don't think any farm system would have the ammo to get Trout. There could be one out there like the Rangers possibly before the Lucroy and Jeremy deal. Boston is a possibility before the deals they pulled but now I doubt it.Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

The Cubs would have to start with Kris Bryant, etc.
This will sound dumb on the surface but Trout is underpaid even making 30+ per yearComment

Using Boston as the baseline they would likely ask for one of Xander or Mookie AND both Benintendi & Moncada. And they probably wouldn't stop there. The package would make heads spin.

MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
So I pulled the Nolasco and Meyer swap for Santiago. My next deal will be the Nunez deal that sent him to the Giants. But before that deal I am going to unload Suzuki. Dodgers and Rays are the top candidates as they are in first like me and need catching help. I am dealing for Mesoraco in two days when he comes off the IR so won't need Suzuki and no reason to DFA with teams sending offers for him.I am just looking at C prospects or low rated MLB bench caliber guys.
I sent DJ Davis for Suzuki at the deadline. At the deadline and the Twins struggling. Could be a speedy OF prospect (b potential I think) for your farm.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
it would be something like X, Mook, Moncada , Benintendi, Devers, E-Rod, Carson Smith and maybe Sam White. No one would ever give that much talent up for one player. Especially when the red Sox could have a future dynasty WITH all those players. The future of the Yanks and Sox rivalry looks good with all these young guns coming up on both sides.Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit TigersPittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay PackersDetroit Red WingsComment

I'd just hope he hits FA and if he doesn't, move on with life and keep building your squad.
